COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Framboise Boon is a traditional Belgian Lambic fruit-beer. It is brewed according to the traditional Lambic style of spontaneous fermentation. Only fresh raspberries (25%) and wildcherries (5%)are used for this Lambic beer. Framboise Boon is the missing link between beer and wine and is served chilled in flute glasses. NO artificial sweeteners, flavourings, preservatives or colouring agents. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name.

Rosy-bodied and pink-topped, it’s tough to look manly with a glass of Boon’s craft in hand. Aromatically though, the fruit’s luscious intensity is about as delicate as a jackhammer. Strawberry cheesecake, grape candy, red apple and raspberry jelly; there’s pie crust and peaches, brown sugar and cookies. All this is only meagerly balanced by well-aged hops, but no matter, the variegated fruit flavors are truly inspiring. As for the flavor, imagine The Shining’s elevators spewing torrents of raspberry syrup instead of blood. Surprisingly dry, the fruit is full but not cloying and the fine carbonation adds wonderful texture to the experience. Hints of fig, browned butter, oak and black cherry, a finishing touch of blackcurrant, it’s an impressive brew. If it had further explored those sour notes of leather, this certainly would approach perfection in the realm of fruit lambics. For those outsiders who deem a pink fruit beer girly, let me again borrow from Jack Nicholson’s oeuvre and say "YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE FRUIT!" (01/07/07, 2004 bottle)

Pours a dark red colour with a beige head. Aroma is fruits such as cherry and raspberry, vanilla with some sourness. Taste is sweetish of fruit leading to a sourish finish. Nice.

Recent op bij de Drie dorstige herten. Ik had hem niet zo zoet verwacht maar was verder wel erg lekker, goede framboos smaak

Pours ruby red. Lots of tart raspberry and cherry in the aroma, with glucose syrup in the aroma. The taste is pretty much exactly the same but with a light astringency too. Quite mild lambic.

Clear, dark red body with a small, frothy, light pink head that laces the glass pretty well. Strong flavour of lightly ripe, acidic and tart raspberries, raspberries, raspberries and raspberries. Also distinct notes of cherries. The flavour mirrors the aroma. Light sweet and light to moderate acidic taste. Crisp mouthfeel, light and dry with a moderate carbonation. A very mild framboise, sure it’s tart and acidic but there’s definitely a sweetness in there as well, and I find no funky stuff that could scare off newcomers to the style..

Bottle from Takatsuki AEON Mall liquor shop. Strong, fresh blast of berries, some funk. Dark reddish brown, light pink lace. Mildly tart berries in initial, some acid attack in mid, hits a good sweet-sour balance. Thin, tart, and moderately astringent. Nice all around. Not as big or overpowering as some acid blasters, but alanced and highly drinkable.

Rating #1020, flaske fra Toft Vin. Rødbrun, mørk, næsten intet skum. Vinøs duft med masser af friske hindbær. Meget syrlig smag med masser af hindbær og en del sødme. Hint af kirsebær og træ. Medium tykkelse, skummende i munden. Ganske fin.

On tap @Mad For Beer (Rome). Rossa intensa, scura, quasi bordeaux, schiuma bianco-rosata cremosa, leggera. Al naso sentore di yougurt al lampone, non proprio finissimo. In bocca è dolciastra, zuccherosa, solo lievemente acidula sul finale, cremosa di consistenza, sembra (sembra!) volutamente edulcorata. Una delusione totale.
