COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Framboise Boon is a traditional Belgian Lambic fruit-beer. It is brewed according to the traditional Lambic style of spontaneous fermentation. Only fresh raspberries (25%) and wildcherries (5%)are used for this Lambic beer. Framboise Boon is the missing link between beer and wine and is served chilled in flute glasses. NO artificial sweeteners, flavourings, preservatives or colouring agents. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name.

Rosy-bodied and pink-topped, it’s tough to look manly with a glass of Boon’s craft in hand. Aromatically though, the fruit’s luscious intensity is about as delicate as a jackhammer. Strawberry cheesecake, grape candy, red apple and raspberry jelly; there’s pie crust and peaches, brown sugar and cookies. All this is only meagerly balanced by well-aged hops, but no matter, the variegated fruit flavors are truly inspiring. As for the flavor, imagine The Shining’s elevators spewing torrents of raspberry syrup instead of blood. Surprisingly dry, the fruit is full but not cloying and the fine carbonation adds wonderful texture to the experience. Hints of fig, browned butter, oak and black cherry, a finishing touch of blackcurrant, it’s an impressive brew. If it had further explored those sour notes of leather, this certainly would approach perfection in the realm of fruit lambics. For those outsiders who deem a pink fruit beer girly, let me again borrow from Jack Nicholson’s oeuvre and say "YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE FRUIT!" (01/07/07, 2004 bottle)

Drunk 13/07/14 at home while watching tv. started off as a sunny day, had the windows open, then it started pissing down. oh well this was ok. pours fizzy and clear with a small pink head. aroma surprised me. it wasnt just raspberries- more like a swiss roll with jam and cream. you can taste the lambic tartness, with a slight barnyard funk. although it could have done with more dryness so it doesnt feel as much like fizzy juice. overall it was decent tho

Poured appropriately in a classic McDonald’s Fantasia tumbler, because after all this pours a clear purple with purple white head that disappears nothing. It’s soda pop! Lots of berry fruit taste. Some sour apples, raspberry, bitter grapes. Some sweet and sour. This beer is only Meh. Too much berry not enough lambic for me. When I accidently knocked over the whole thing I was more upset about busting the glass than the beer.

Bottle from Harvest Market Pours a slightly murky reddish brown color with a decent sized off white heads that dissipates rather quickly. Aromas of raspberry jam, a hint of molasses, and a bit of earthy funk. The flavor Is lightly tart from the fruit with lots of berry flavor. Hints of dark caramelized sugars with a touch of citric tartness and earthy funk. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. Decent enough brew, but I felt it could have had more of a pucker factor.

Purchased at LCBO, vintage 2012 bottle. Rasperries with a sour taste, a taste I rather enjoyed. Refreshing, not to familiar with Lambrics, but having this every once in a while, not bad at all, enjoyed it.

Bottle. Ruby in colour, small white head. In aroma raspberries with sour, vineous notes. Flavour is sweet and sour raspberries with dry finish. It’s not as tart as other framboise, but that’s ok. Nice fruit lambic beer.
