This beer rocks! Murky, mohogany hue. Small, fizzy, light pink head. The aroma is full of fruit. Ditto for the well-balanced flavor. Great job on a great fruit lambic by the people at Boon. World Class!

(bottle, 75cl, vintage 2004, 6.2% abv) Hazy, ruby amber colour with a short reddish frothy head. Slightly acidic and distinctively raspberry-fruity aroma with a moderate Lambic-character and a light mouldy touch. Slightly acidic and moderately sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a soft carbonation. Mild Lambic-character with aromatic raspberry-fruity notes; slightly sweet and minimal vinous-fruity finish that lasts more than for a while. Excellent; almost like a rosé Champagne. 29.VI.10

Bottle from River’s Bend. Poured hazy reddish color with moderate frothy reddish white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Good tart raspberry aroma. Medium body with smooth texture. Moderate sweet raspberry flavor with a solid tart fruit finish of moderate duration.

Bottle 75cl Vintage 2004: Pink coloured, slowly collapsing - also a bit pinkish - foam, hazy; extremely fruity (full of raspberries) nose, reminds You of a good Champagne Rosé, with vinous elements and a light touch of balsamic vinegar; solid sweet-sourish, but also bitter flavour, soft, medium bodied; sweetish-sourish finish with the gentle raspberry aromas, followed by a light tartness. Wow, what a superb fruit beer.......

A Mes rate: Bottled during the Toer de Geuze. Attractive reddy pink colour with a slight bubbly head. Plenty of fruit in the aroma with some delicate sounrness and a little pepper. Flavour is great. Balances out really well between a gentle lambic sourness and a restrained sweetness from the berries. Soft yet prickly mouthfeel that I really like. Good stuff.

A Mes rate: Oh how I love this one. I was expecting the Mariage Parfait to have more obvious lambic characteristics but there is not too much sourness nor as much dryness as I would have thought. I must admit initially this was a slight disappointment but the more I drink of this the more I like it. Firstly the looks are glorious. In our framboise champagne flutes it was an almost clear, pinkish brown at the bottom turning a lovely raspberry red towards the top and crowned with a welcoming, almost white head. Then the nose. It is quite clearly jam roly poly like my mum and nan used to make. Bit of rhubarb crumble in there too. Full bodied and quite sweet but not too much so. The raspberries are clearly apparent and the addition of that little bit extra alcohol makes it just that little bit special. The lambic tendancies show up a little for the finish with a slight sourness that once finished leaves a fantastic lick of the berries. My god this is great.

Bottle, 2000 Vintage at Plan B, RBESG, August 2005. Nice clear pink colour. Plenty of fruit, with a farmyardy edge, on the nose. Quite fruity flavour, sweetish and not too sour. A pleasant, relatively easy drinking lambic.

Marmeladengeruch. Süßer, leider zu süßer Antrunk mit deutlichen Himbeeraromen, die aber schnell dumpf werden. Künstlich süß, dadurch nur wenig erfrischend. Geht so.. 8/7/6/7/9/7
