Purple color with pink head. Aroma of white wine vinegar, cherries, cheese, basement aromas. Taste is medium sour ,fruity and metallic flavor. Light body, thin texture, lively carbonation and dry finish. A bit weird. 2011 Vintage

Loved this beer from top to bottom. Sour and fruit heaven. Discovered it at a festival and will be seeking more out

2009 Vintage. 375mL bottle at Grote Dorst, pours an opaque dark pink with a medium potent pink head. Aroma of potent cherries (despite the age), and some slight tartness and acidity, but not much. Flavour brings out insanely potent cherries, not much else -- not much tartness, not sweetness. The cherries are incredibly potent, imparting intense cherry flavours despite 4 years of age on this beer. An absolutely wonderful kriek.

pours cloudy pink-purplish with a nice purple head, some retention. plastered cherries, sweet ripened cherries, other red fruitiness, soap and funk. aroma is not necessarily welcoming. bright carbonation, light to medium body, well hidden abv, nice funky, spicy and herbal relatively dry finish.

Bouteille 375ml, courtoisie de YULbier. De couleur rouge-rosée foncée et voilée. Nez fruité acide et légèrement sûres (cerises sûres, notes de canneberges, traces de raisins vineux), de levures sauvages aux notes rustiques, épicées (poivre doux) et terreuses, moyennement boisé (bois humide) avec des traces de fromage vieilli. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen ainsi qu’une texture aux notes vineuses. Goût moyennement aigre de fruits (cerises sûres, notes de canneberges et de raisins vineux, traces de citron) et de levures sauvages, terreuses et légèrement rustiques accompagné d’un goût boisé asséchant (bois humide, léger de fût de chêne) dès l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute des petites notes de fromage vieilli, d’alcool vineux doux et quelques traces herbeuses en toute fin de gorgée. Post-goût long et sec, moyennement aigre de levures sauvages et de fruits (cerises sûres, traces de raisins vineux) avec un léger goût boisé.

375 ml bottle that I can’t remember where I got. Pours ruby red with a frothy and fizzy deep pink head that quickly dissipates while leaving a small trace on the glass. Smell is tart, funky and fruity with sour cherries, cherries, crackers, lemon juice, lemon grass, barnyard, leather, dry soil, rich red wine, horse blanket, hay, unripe berries, cherry hard candy and hints of alcohol and gastric acid. Taste is sour, tart and fruity with crackers, sour cherries, cherries, crackers, lemon juice, lemon zest, cherry hard candy, moist wood, rich red wine, cherry pits, dry soil, horse blanket, hay, sour milk, unripe berries and hints of alcohol. Mouthfeel is rich, fruity tart, smooth and medium bodied. finish is tart and fruity with cherries, sour cherries, crackers, lemon zest, hay, barnyard, unripe berries and cherry pits. Intensely fruity, deep and intense...

750 ml bottle. 1983 vintage at Kulminator. Pours a dark orange/mahogany. Aromas of light bitter cherries and barnyard. Flavors of old barrel wood and oranges. Still quite tart and sour. Wow.

375 ml corked and caged bottle, at home, harvest 2011. Poured into a tulip glass. ABV 8% Nice deep red ruby colour on the body, with lots of activity in it. Two fingers of deep pink head, going down fast, and ending up to a thin line of foam around the glass walls, with no lacing left behind. Very nice aroma, lots of acrid cherries, funk. Wow, what a sourness! Very acidic, cherries on the taste and white grapes, along with a bit of dirt on the aftertaste. Thin body with lots of carbonation, Tart on the palate but only a bit. Good beer, maybe a bit too sour for me, as I am new to this genre.

Toer de Geuze 2013 Super nice Kriek beer. Cherries...sourness...wood...and a great aftertaste.

Bottle, vintage 2011. Deep red with pink head, a bit hazy. Aroma is a bit sweet, with mature cherries tiny hints of solvent. Taste is sout with clear sweet notes. Mature cherries with the sour and astringent wild cherry notes. Very nice beer
