Kriek Mariage Parfait is an Old Style Kriek of exceptional excellence. 400 g of wild cherries per litre are fermented together with a strong Lambic of spontaneous fermentation and aged on 6,200 litre oak foudres (large wooden casks) for 5 to 6 months. Kriek Mariage Parfait is naturally clarified and referments in the bottle. It is unsweetened, unfiltered, unpasteurised and has no artificial flavours, preservatives or colourings added. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name. Pour slowly in a flute glass without disturbing the yeast sediment in the bottle and enjoy this epitome of traditional Lambic brewing.

Dark bit cloudy red with brown hues and a light pink frothy head. On the nose aromas of cherry, earthy, woody, red grapes, black currant, almonds/marzipan hints of brett develops. Light fruity sweet with a well balanced acidity/sourness and a hint of bitterness with subtle notes of amaretto and balsamico. Medium fruity body; thin, lively. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Suutuntuma on hapan, muttei suuta kuivattavan hapan. Loppu on jopa hieman makea.

Intense ruby red, frothy head. A: lambic is more pronounced, but it has some dried cherry and cherry pit in the undertone. Very gentle aroma. T: starts with raspberry, sour cherries, very delicate fruitiness that does not hit the palate hard. Slightly creamy. Sour development, with red fruit notes. Aftertaste is relatively neutral, some cherry fruitiness. Nice subdued Kriek.

Bottle. Dark red with a small pink head. Aroma has lots of sour cherries, slightly tart. Taste is fresh and light tart with cherries, wood and marzipan . Light body, soft carbonation, dry and woody mouth feel. Short dry after taste.
Not very tart, quite short and flat taste.

2011, Dark red/purple pour. Nose is sour cherries and oak. Taste is the same, lots of wood. Enjoyed the older bottles I’ve tried but was too lazy to rate much more.

Bottle at home, 12th July 15, anniversary beer, pours deep red, Aroma, cherry, funk, yeast, sour fruit. Taste is sour cherry, some candy, a little sour some booze, really nice, but lacks some complexity compared with Cantillon
