4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
2011 vintage: wow the color of the head and lacing is an impressive highlighter pink. The body has a nice deep ruby plum. Aroma of funk barnyard with jammy cherry pie. Effervescent mouth feel with tannic wood. Fruit jammy sweetness followed by a dry funk sour grain. Beer is very dry. Finishes like a very dry stale toast with cherry jammy spread on it.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Deep cranberry juice colored pour, pink head. Flavor is interesting. It’s like a true kriek meets a gueuze meets a lemonade. Starts sour, leads I to tart cherries and lemons and finishes a tad funky and dry.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Beergium.com, 2012 edition. Deep, dark red body, with a medium, frothy to creamy, pink head. Aroma of sour cherries, sour red berries, earth, tart, wood, flowers. Taste is dry, sour, with the same aromas, very well balanced and satisfying. Mouthfeel is medium, creamy, with a medium carbonation and it finishes sour and dry. Really tasty! Fortunately not sweet at all, like so many other Kriek beers. Greatly balanced, refreshing and with the high ABV completely hidden, so that it is dangerously quaffable.
