COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kriek Mariage Parfait is an Old Style Kriek of exceptional excellence. 400 g of wild cherries per litre are fermented together with a strong Lambic of spontaneous fermentation and aged on 6,200 litre oak foudres (large wooden casks) for 5 to 6 months. Kriek Mariage Parfait is naturally clarified and referments in the bottle. It is unsweetened, unfiltered, unpasteurised and has no artificial flavours, preservatives or colourings added. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name. Pour slowly in a flute glass without disturbing the yeast sediment in the bottle and enjoy this epitome of traditional Lambic brewing.

*(cuvée 2008): Extrêmement juteux à ma grande surprise avec un assèchement rapide et franc. Très accessible côté sauvage et acidité mais pas simplet, au contraire, très accompli.

Bottle thx to benzai. Deep red colour with no head. Weird combination of cherries and chocolate milk. Also a bit red wine like and i dont like wine. Tastes slightly sour but not shocking. Again that red wine/port taste. I don?t know about this one.. Not bad, definately not great. Medium body, slightly warming, little to no carbo.

37,5cl bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear dark red color, no head. Smell light to moderate sourness, red wine and some liquor. Taste lightly sour, red fruit, a bit winey. Quite balanced, but a bit low bodied. Low carbonation.

Apart from the slightly boring aroma this beer is top quality. The slightly boozy feeling of the Mariage Parfait gueze is gone and smooth cherry remains. You can taste the sweetnes of the fruit, but it never gets too much. I had the 2008 in 2012, so some of the sourness was gone and replaced with a little more sugar. Good stuff all around

2007 POP! Cork needs no help coming out! Pours deep gold, with a nice head. Smells of funk, soured fruits. Tastes acidic and sour with a very dry finish. It really is like a marriage, content, but not amazing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2008 bottle. Very dark deep ruby red color with a huge fluffy pink head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is slight, light, cherries, Brown sugar, and vinegar. Flavor is also very light, watery, nutty, and a string sour Mouthfeel. Flavor is far from complex unfortunately.

Poured from the bottle, poured a dark red color, aromas of funk, tart cherries, and a touch of grapes. Flavor is light lactic cherries, with some sweet cheeries. Light mouthfeel, really nice beer that I could drink for a while.

Bottle. Pours deep ruby with thick, frothy pink head; short retention and spare lacing. Aroma is cherries, red grapes, cookie malt, and funky, sour fruit. Flavor is balanced sour and tart fruit esters which transitions smoothly to a sweet, red dessert wine flavor; dry finish. Light body, medium carbonation, and low warmth.
