COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kriek Mariage Parfait is an Old Style Kriek of exceptional excellence. 400 g of wild cherries per litre are fermented together with a strong Lambic of spontaneous fermentation and aged on 6,200 litre oak foudres (large wooden casks) for 5 to 6 months. Kriek Mariage Parfait is naturally clarified and referments in the bottle. It is unsweetened, unfiltered, unpasteurised and has no artificial flavours, preservatives or colourings added. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name. Pour slowly in a flute glass without disturbing the yeast sediment in the bottle and enjoy this epitome of traditional Lambic brewing.

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2012 (From notes 17.11.12) Bottle. Pink foam. Red, clear beer. Noticeable cherry aroma, also some cream. Smooth, creamy. Not too sour. Very drinkable lambic.

23.11.12. Bottle. Pink, thick foam that settles fast. Clear, dark red beer. Aroma is refreshing; cherry, a bit sweet, cream. Flavor is sour cherry, a wee bit spicy. Mouthfeel creamy, slight carbonation. Aftertaste is a bit watery, little bit dry and sour, slightly acidic, long overall. Very enjoyable. 4.1.

Pours dark red, a bit like de cam kriekenlambik. Red head which dissapears quite fast. Smell is a bit sweet, nice cherry fruit. Taste is a very nice mixture between sweet and sour. Might be a bit more sour. What a difference with the Boon Kriek! This might be the best recent boon creation out there! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Vintage 2008 What a gorgeous beer. A simply perfect appearance. Radiant ruby hues with soft pink accents when held to the light. Pinkish purple head that measures over a half inch thick. Excellent retention and lacing. A joy to observe. The aroma is top notch as well. Sour cherries take center stage, with funky, musty, oak in supporting roles. Lots of cherry flavor. Just the right amount of funk and sour presence. Enough to induce the slightest pucker, but so smooth I could drink several glasses and not grow weary of it. Homemade cherry pie? One of the most easy drinking fruit lambics I have had in a while. 8% abv? Difficult to believe. Alcohol content is masterfully disguised. Ridiculously smooth on palate, with a lingering aftertaste of tart cherries. Overall, fantastic. So glad I was able to get a few of these. A must have for the lambic connoisseur. Bedankt Dylan – 375 ml.

375ml bottle dated 2008 harvest with a best by date of 2030 so this must have been bottled in 2010. Bright red with a punk head that looked great at first and then died even though the beer was very fizzy (dirty glass?) . Smelled like cherries, no must, no barnyard, no lambic. Taste was tart cherries but I want the funk too and I got none. Mouthfeel was also way too fizzy for my liking. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 08-31-2011 16:00:06

Bottle from systembolaget. A good kriek. Not comparable to the cantillons and 3 fonteinen ones but still good.

2008 vintage 375 ml bottle. Pours a dark purple to red with a pink head of foam that dissipates at a moderate rate. The aroma is like sour cherries and pie filling. It somehow manages to be sweet and very sour at the same time. I really like that about this beer. I’m sad it had to come to an end.

Récolte 2009. Bouteille 375 ml. Bonne rondeur. Excellente lambic!
