Kriek Mariage Parfait is an Old Style Kriek of exceptional excellence. 400 g of wild cherries per litre are fermented together with a strong Lambic of spontaneous fermentation and aged on 6,200 litre oak foudres (large wooden casks) for 5 to 6 months. Kriek Mariage Parfait is naturally clarified and referments in the bottle. It is unsweetened, unfiltered, unpasteurised and has no artificial flavours, preservatives or colourings added. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name. Pour slowly in a flute glass without disturbing the yeast sediment in the bottle and enjoy this epitome of traditional Lambic brewing.

Beautiful dark red body with a dark pink head. Excellent strong, sour cherry aroma with a nice strong acidity. Full body with plenty of carbonation. Delicious, quite sour flavour with sour cherries, a hint of green apple. Really great.

Clear dark ruby red with small redish foam head. Aroma is sour cherry, taste is sour with cherry flavor and some banana far away. Nice beer for a change in tone, away from the usual. (Velp 201306) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

375ml bottle. 2008. Murky thick purple red body. Thinnish, glass rimming head. Boldly sour, more so than I remember the last few bottles over the last few years being. One of my favorite Krieks, I fear the hoarders might have bought these all up in WI now. Vinous, with a big enough body to really make it an ideal sipper. I almost get some fruity pulp tastes, deep blackberry, cherry, plum. Fantastic beer.

Lore (2091) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUN 1, 2013
dark ruby colour, with long lasting half centimeter pinkish-ruby head; aroma of not syrup-like cherry, and notable presence of lambic-background - wine cellar, oak barrel and sourness;taste is fully dominated by sournes of cherry and the lambic itself; in contrast with other fruit lambics and krieks, it has no sweetness at all, but the lambic-basis can also be felt very clearly; such like a a boon gueuze with the sourish essence of cherry; marvellous lambic.

37.5 cl. Vintage 2011.

0,375l bottle from Csakajósör, Budapest. Hazy, deep red colored with little, dark pink head. Soury, dry, cherry odor. The aroma is like the odor: sour, fruity. The fruit aroma is very delicious. Not that syrupy cherry feeling like some other krieks, but the real cherry flavour with the soury lambic aroma. Very delicious. The taste is dry and fresh. Creamy texture, medium bodied, average carbonation. Dry, cherry finish. Very good beer. Both the lambic and fruity flavours can be found. Moderated, milder than pure sour ales, but very typical.

Bottle generously shared by Sparky! ’08 vintage. Violet pour with some crimson, scarlet, and ruby red edges. Plum skin, tart cherry, balsamic, cheese, and funk. Quite fruity and mildly acidic. Not the punch in the throat you get with other sours. Best of the night.

Purple color with pink head. Aroma of white wine vinegar, cherries, cheese, basement aromas. Taste is medium sour ,fruity and metallic flavor. Light body, thin texture, lively carbonation and dry finish. A bit weird. 2011 Vintage
