COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kriek Mariage Parfait is an Old Style Kriek of exceptional excellence. 400 g of wild cherries per litre are fermented together with a strong Lambic of spontaneous fermentation and aged on 6,200 litre oak foudres (large wooden casks) for 5 to 6 months. Kriek Mariage Parfait is naturally clarified and referments in the bottle. It is unsweetened, unfiltered, unpasteurised and has no artificial flavours, preservatives or colourings added. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name. Pour slowly in a flute glass without disturbing the yeast sediment in the bottle and enjoy this epitome of traditional Lambic brewing.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brilliant ruby with light pink dense foam head. Great aromas of vanilla sour cherry, some funk, almonds and a nice level of sourness. Flavours show plenty of sour cheeries and almonds from the kernels. A little lemon like acidty and a hint of funk. Overall a really great beer.

In bottiglia al Verzekering Tegen De Grote Dorst; colore tenebroso e un buon aroma di ciliegia, gli 8 gradi non si sentono.

2008 bottle. Deep ruby with a head somewhere between red and white (no, not pink). Aroma: cherries, semi-sweet, marzipan, wood. Taste: cherries, tart apples, dry, what else? Medium-bodied, high but still soft carbonation. Pretty nice.

375ml Bottle (2008 Vintage): Aroma of oak, acetic acid, cherry, acetone, wood, barnyard, lambic, and leather. Tastes of oak, acetic acid, barnyard, lambic, cherries, slight acetone, and leather. Medium body. Tingly, gassy, then slightly dry texture. Lively carbonation. Heavily tart, lightly sweet, lambic, cherry, oak, acetic acid finish. 8%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

Scopey (7191) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 2, 2011
2008 bottle from Utobeer. It pours with deep blood red, with a quickly dissipating dark pink head. The nose is fresh cherry, red grape, cherry skin, rich tea biscuit, subtle tart lemon. The taste is full of juicy dark cherry, Granny Smith apple, tart lemon, white grape, subtle alcohol warmth and wood, with a lingering tart finish. Medium body, lively carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Brilliant balance. Maybe not the most complex kriek, but it’s utterly drinkable.

Bottle from Systembolaget, 2008 vintage. Dark red, almost opaque beer with vanishing head. Sourish aroma with cherries (not a great suprise). The same goes with the dry taste aswell. Quite good.

Tasted on 9/21/11 from a corked and caged 275mL bottle purchased at Midtown, 2008 vintage. Pours an opaque, muddy garnet color with a very thick pink head that recedes fairly quickly to nothing at all. The nose is super sour with tons of lemon acidity, burnt rubber, red wine vinegar, just a light hint of vanilla, and, of course, sour funky cherries. The flavor is very dry and sour with puckering lemon acid, burnt rubber, red wine vinegar, tart cherries, and just a touch of vanilla. The body is medium and tannic with lively carbonation and a very long tart and sour cherry finish.
