COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kriek Mariage Parfait is an Old Style Kriek of exceptional excellence. 400 g of wild cherries per litre are fermented together with a strong Lambic of spontaneous fermentation and aged on 6,200 litre oak foudres (large wooden casks) for 5 to 6 months. Kriek Mariage Parfait is naturally clarified and referments in the bottle. It is unsweetened, unfiltered, unpasteurised and has no artificial flavours, preservatives or colourings added. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name. Pour slowly in a flute glass without disturbing the yeast sediment in the bottle and enjoy this epitome of traditional Lambic brewing.

Bottle at Klooster. Slightly hazy red pour with small pink head. Aroma is funky sour with cherry. Initial sweet flavour quickly goes into a wonderful sour cherry flavour.

Deep crimson with rich cherry aroma and plenty of brett too. Thick and fruity body with a good level of tartness. Dangerously drinkable for its ABV. Lovely

2009 bottle. Very dark red body, like red wine. Small pink head. The aroma is extremely full, with some oak and alcohol in addition to ripe fruit. Very sour, with a full body and long finish.

375ml bottle. Pours a dark blood red with a small clear rose head. Nose : Strongs aromas of cherry wjavascript: RadioSel(overall,16);ith some wood raisin notes. The aroma of cherries is a genuin fresh compot like aroma. Sip : It’s low density with a very low carbonation. The sweetness is almost forgotten and gives a way for a typical sourness of compot cherries and some other dried fruits. I drank it with some typical belgian cuisine ( endives stoump with turkey ) and it married well together. It’s really fruity and it hides the 8% alcohol so well I would never suspect it is an alcoholic drink. Well done !
