COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kriek Mariage Parfait is an Old Style Kriek of exceptional excellence. 400 g of wild cherries per litre are fermented together with a strong Lambic of spontaneous fermentation and aged on 6,200 litre oak foudres (large wooden casks) for 5 to 6 months. Kriek Mariage Parfait is naturally clarified and referments in the bottle. It is unsweetened, unfiltered, unpasteurised and has no artificial flavours, preservatives or colourings added. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name. Pour slowly in a flute glass without disturbing the yeast sediment in the bottle and enjoy this epitome of traditional Lambic brewing.

Big sour nose of cherries, funk, and citrus. Taste is nice and sour with minimal sweetness. COuld use a bit more complexity or something but still good.

Tallahassee, Fl - New Leaf Market - 12.7 oz caged cork bottle. Dark, wine-red like pour with a pinkish head that leave a thin head around the edges. Nice, earthy sour cherry aroma. Flavor is strong and sour with plenty of sour cherries, some barnyard funkiness, a hint of black dirt and some red wine notes. Mouthfeel is crisp and dry. Overall, solid. Bought with the gift card I got from my son for my birthday - thanks!

Bottle 2008. Deep red colour with a pink head. Tart, sour, cherries, a hint of barnyard, lemon, wood, warming alcohol at the end. Nice, but a bit too much alcohol in my opinion.

37,5 cl bottle - vintage 2008. Bought in The fab store Dranken Geers near Gent. Pours a deep ruby red with an untransparent glow. Its topped with a fizzy pink head that rather quickly disappears though. The nose has a very heavy aroma of cherrys. On top of that some lactic and acidic notes. Lovely. The taste is like the aroma packed with cherries and a mild acidity that stings your ears. A mild and round finish with a faint buttery taste. Its both creamy and sparkling. A briliiant brew
