COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kriek Mariage Parfait is an Old Style Kriek of exceptional excellence. 400 g of wild cherries per litre are fermented together with a strong Lambic of spontaneous fermentation and aged on 6,200 litre oak foudres (large wooden casks) for 5 to 6 months. Kriek Mariage Parfait is naturally clarified and referments in the bottle. It is unsweetened, unfiltered, unpasteurised and has no artificial flavours, preservatives or colourings added. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name. Pour slowly in a flute glass without disturbing the yeast sediment in the bottle and enjoy this epitome of traditional Lambic brewing.

Almost opaque dark cherry red beer, small pink head. Palate is light and crispy and airy. Rich but mellow cherry. Little dry seltzer. Mild tang. Light finish. Simple and rather drinkable. Hides the abv superbly.

Bottle from Beergium.com, 2012 edition. Deep, dark red body, with a medium, frothy to creamy, pink head. Aroma of sour cherries, sour red berries, earth, tart, wood, flowers. Taste is dry, sour, with the same aromas, very well balanced and satisfying. Mouthfeel is medium, creamy, with a medium carbonation and it finishes sour and dry. Really tasty! Fortunately not sweet at all, like so many other Kriek beers. Greatly balanced, refreshing and with the high ABV completely hidden, so that it is dangerously quaffable.

Feines Lambic, das erstaunlicherweise etwas an Kirschen vermissen lässt. Dafür erstaunlich süffig, erfrischend, ein klein wenig kernig und mit ausgewogener Perlung. Mild und beruhigend wirkt es fast. Klasse.

Pours out of the bottle in a deep dark red colour with rosé head and medium body. Aroma of cherry kernels, leaves and cherries. Taste of morello cherries, cherry stones, leaves and sour cherries. Wonderful and smooth to drink, very high quaffable and delicious. Loved it.

Bottle at the Syb Pig in Boca Raton. Pinkish-red pour with a pink head. Beautiful color. Aroma starts with sour cherries, oak barrel, slight vinegar, sour apples and grapes as well as wild yeasts. Taste is close to the same with the cherries most dominant. Very sour, not a sweet fruit beer. Thin body, heavy carbonation. Finish is tart and delicious. Slightly dry ending. Very good.
