COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kriek Mariage Parfait is an Old Style Kriek of exceptional excellence. 400 g of wild cherries per litre are fermented together with a strong Lambic of spontaneous fermentation and aged on 6,200 litre oak foudres (large wooden casks) for 5 to 6 months. Kriek Mariage Parfait is naturally clarified and referments in the bottle. It is unsweetened, unfiltered, unpasteurised and has no artificial flavours, preservatives or colourings added. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name. Pour slowly in a flute glass without disturbing the yeast sediment in the bottle and enjoy this epitome of traditional Lambic brewing.

A pretty awesome fruit beer. Pours blood red with pink head. Aromas of funk, cherry, raspberry, and strawberry. Flavors are sour cherry and horse blanket. Sweet raspberry jam with a bitter oaky finish. Superb.

37,5cl bottle thanks to ruigo. Lovely dark red/rose color with medium rose head. Body is super smooth. Carbonation is not that agressive. Taste is super balanced, medium sour, bitter and sweet.

2011 vintage: wow the color of the head and lacing is an impressive highlighter pink. The body has a nice deep ruby plum. Aroma of funk barnyard with jammy cherry pie. Effervescent mouth feel with tannic wood. Fruit jammy sweetness followed by a dry funk sour grain. Beer is very dry. Finishes like a very dry stale toast with cherry jammy spread on it.

Deep cranberry juice colored pour, pink head. Flavor is interesting. It’s like a true kriek meets a gueuze meets a lemonade. Starts sour, leads I to tart cherries and lemons and finishes a tad funky and dry.

Aroma: light sour, light notes of fruits, cherries. Appearance: clear red, medium reddish creamy head. Taste: light bitter, medium sour. Palate: cherry flavours, sours continue, very dry, average-long finish. Overall: nice Kriek, could have more cherries in both aroma and palate. Bottle from Beer of Belgium, Ypres.

Almost opaque dark cherry red beer, small pink head. Palate is light and crispy and airy. Rich but mellow cherry. Little dry seltzer. Mild tang. Light finish. Simple and rather drinkable. Hides the abv superbly.
