From West Lake view. Nice cherry smell with out being medicinal. Dark almost purple red in color. The sour is strong but not over powering. Sweet but not syrupy. Small bubbles in the carbonation. Nice. Serving: Bottle

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Drank this one with Thanksgiving dinner this year.
’08 375ml bottle.
A - Pours ruby red with a fizzy half finger tall white head, dissipating down to nothing at all, leaving no lace at all down the glass. Much like the geuze, it went totally flat within minutes.
S - Smells of ripe sour cherries, damp earth, basement must, bit of barnyard funk, lactic sourness, oak and some wet grass. Not as earthy as the geuze thanks to the addition of the cherries but it still just doesn’t jump out at me like others in the style.
T - Starts off with the sour cherries quickly giving way to a mix of sharp lactic sourness, musty funk, grass and a touch of sweetness help round it all together. Finish is quite dry, lingering long after the finish. Liking how much the cherries come through here compared to the nose.
M - Medium body with spritzy carbonation. While the geuze was more tart this is a bit more sour, still has plenty of dryness after each sip.
O - I enjoyed this one a bit more than the geuze but it still wasn’t worth what I had to pay for them. I think their are better examples of the style but if the price was right I would definitely pick up another bottle.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
2009. très bonne version là aussi, qui ne demande qu’à vieillir encore. Bien meilleure que la version "Boon Kriek" classique (14/20), grosse acidité, goût de cerise très persistant.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle (thanks to goodbyeohio)... Poured deep red with a pink-ish head. Nice tart cherry aroma. Nice acidity and tartness with a fresh cherry flavor. Dark cherry skins and sweetness helped balance oak and tartness with mild funk. Really nice drinking lambic. Pretty awesome, actually.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at a local bottle share, pours a dark red with a light pink head, the aroma has quite a bit of funk and sourness on the nose, the flavor is really funky and fruity on the front end, some vinegar like notes in the finish, the cherries are really nice and not overpowering on this one, nice.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at Nuetnigenough. Deep red colour, pink head. Intense sour cherries aroma. Very much sour cherries throughout, hintd of almonds. A good kriek that maybe lacks that little extra.
