COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kriek Mariage Parfait is an Old Style Kriek of exceptional excellence. 400 g of wild cherries per litre are fermented together with a strong Lambic of spontaneous fermentation and aged on 6,200 litre oak foudres (large wooden casks) for 5 to 6 months. Kriek Mariage Parfait is naturally clarified and referments in the bottle. It is unsweetened, unfiltered, unpasteurised and has no artificial flavours, preservatives or colourings added. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name. Pour slowly in a flute glass without disturbing the yeast sediment in the bottle and enjoy this epitome of traditional Lambic brewing.

2009 bottle found in a package store in Birmingham, AL for $5.99. Word. Pours dense, deep ruby with a bright pink and everlasting head. Nose is bright and acetic, with notes of cherries, sour lemon, wood, leather, and funk. Taste is tart and acetic and the palate finishes quite dry. A hint of a corky flavor is the only thing holding this one back from complete and utter greatness.

375mL corked & caged bottle from Slowbeer. 2013 vintage Pours out a big fluffy pink head, drops away to an effervescent ring atop a deep magenta body. Reasonably intense nose - vinous cherries & red fruits, old oak, hard cheese, acetic vinegar, hay & barnyardy notes. Lively carbonation, tannic with grippy acidity, long finish yet light bodied - don’t realise its strength at all! Red wine vinegar notes on the body - sour cherries, plum skins, cranberry, dank wood & cellar, barnyard & natural yoghurt. Drawn out finish, bracing acidity. Serious intensity on this one, actually gets better with warmth - fleshier fruits, somehow sweeter and more luscious - very good!

Deze kriek kenmerkt zich door een mooi palet van eikenhout, zure krieken en azijn. De kersen zorgen voor een mooie laag, die weinig zoets in zich heeft. Roze schuimlaag.
