Bottled 375ml cage & corked from Hopduvel Warehouse, Ghent. Red brown with slightly pink head. Overwhelmingly of cherries in the aroma and then into the flavour, sweet and tart at the same time. Not much of the lambic shows through other than tartness, the rest is dominated by the cherry.

UPDATED: JUL 3, 2010 375ml bottle. Pours a colour between Ribena and red wine, with a pinkish foam. Aroma is cherries, tastes sweet but not cloying at first then bittersweet. Finishes a little dry with a woody taste on the tongue so another sup is in order. Quite nice.
750ml bottle. Bitersweet taste not so noticeable, melts from a sweet taste to rather a more savoury taste. Gave an extra point on palate.

Bottle [12oz] shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- c/o HogtownHarry. Pours a murky cherry-red with a small diminishing frothy pinkish-white head. Aroma: Yeah, love it! Lots of sweet and tart cherries along with funky yeast and citrus. Delicious flavour, again of sweet and tart cherries along with some light sugary sweetness and a hint of oak-- so easy to drink. Medium bodied. A truly fantastic beer!
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 tdtm82 (666) - Essex, ENGLAND - FEB 10, 2010
A classic kriek by Frank Boon. Poured into a Belle-vue glass at the Sutton Arms, 9th February 2010. Aroma distinctly tart cherries. Taste is cherries; tart, vanilla with a sour kick back. A lovely beer. Really classic. I am amazed at how consistent this beer is. Not as good as the other Boons but as a standard kriek beer you can’t go wrong with this.
