Kriek Boon is a traditional Belgian Lambic fruit-beer. It is brewed according to the traditional Lambic style of spontaneous fermentation. Only fresh cherries (25%) are used. Kriek Boon is slightly sweet, with the surprising natural fragrance of sourcherries and almonds. With only 4% of alcohol it is a perfect summer beer.

Bottle. Deep red with a medium sized pink head. Cherries, sugar and almonds in the nose. Flavour has sweet cherry sauce, almonds, marzipan. Pretty sugary. Cherry candy. Light/medium body, lively carbonation, light sourness. Too sweet for me, the sugar makes the cherries seem artificial and candy like.

tap: deep ruby colour with a small pink head............can detect cherry but over whelming old hockey bag odour, wet leather .....I guess thatís the barnyard thing .......taste is refreshing and not overly sweet ....the cherries come through and a definite tartness to the finish..... I wonít be drinking this all night but Iím certainly going to drink it again

2014. Thanks to the guy who brought these & the CR crew. Reddish body. Unappealing aroma, even for the style, cherries, medicinal notes and heavy vinagre. The taste is much fresher though, cherries, light tartness. Good but not more than that. The smell is the only thing off about this.

Restrained tart fruit aroma in a crimson colored pour. Full balanced tart/sweet taste with a crisp clean finish. Makes a good introduction to the world of sour beer (by adding a bit of sweetness).

Deep cherry aroma, bit too sweet for my taste. Pours clear dark red with pinky head that looses quickly. Lots of cherry taste, sweet and sour, but mostly sweet finish. Light carbonation, very refreshing.

As it should, cherries nose. Clean ripe cherries with some hops. Actually, it tastes natural as opposed to some krieks that taste chemical. Nice cherry jam aftertaste.

375ml bottle. (Vintage 2013) Pours a clear, dark ruby with a medium, log lasting, pink head that laces. Aroma of tart cherries. Sweet flavour of tart cherries with a crisp, dry, acidic finish. Light body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Tasty.

from 37,5cl bottle. poured a deep dark red to more purple colour with a pink head. nose has a beautiful deep sweet cherry aroma, maybe a bit to sweet for my love of lambic. faint grains, citrus, slightly vanilla sweetness, cherry pits, raspberries, and a note of sweet cinnamon. old barnyard, and just a bit of funk. taste is indeed expected by the nose a bit to sweet. some of the lambic funk is lost here

375 ml, bottled. Vintage 2014. BB 06.05.2019, batch #52301. Pours clear red with a small, slightly pinky white head that disappears soon. Aroma: Caramel, cherries. Mild toasted notes. Taste: Sweet, notable but balanced acidity. Rock sugar. Cherries, woody tones. Mild toasted notes. Palate: Medium body, some carbonation. Mildly tart aftertaste. Not bad.
