COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kriek Boon is a traditional Belgian Lambic fruit-beer. It is brewed according to the traditional Lambic style of spontaneous fermentation. Only fresh cherries (25%) are used. Kriek Boon is slightly sweet, with the surprising natural fragrance of sourcherries and almonds. With only 4% of alcohol it is a perfect summer beer.

Rood en een kraag die lichtjes op het bier blijft liggen. Aroma van kersen, maar niet echt sterk en nog alleen als ie niet te koud is. Smaakt vrij waterig, wat zoet en wat vage kersen. Ik ben niet onder de indruk.

Bottle, 0.25l. Nice dark red colour with minimal pink head that dissapears quickly. Cherry aroma, taste is sour sweet. Overall nice beer even though not really my style.

375 ml bottle to stemmed Boon Kriek glass. Looks good; a fairly transparent cherry red with light pink head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells of cherry and mild funk and oak. Tastes like it smells, but more tart than funky. Almost candied. Medium-bodied on the palate. Soft for a lambic, but enjoyable nonetheless.

37,5 cl. corked bottle @ home, bought @ Galll&Gall. Pours bright ruby with a pink head. Aroma of sour cherries. Taste is sour and sweet with a hint of bret in it. A worhty kriek to be sure.

Garrafa da safra de 2010. Aroma doce e um pouco amendoado, fresco. A cereja aparece no fundo. Bastante suave. Creme breve e púrpura. Bastante inusual, ainda mais para mim que jamais havia tomado este tipo de cerveja. Líquido turvo cor de vinho tinto. Doce, carbonatado e frutado. É um pouco "travada" no final, talvez avinagrada. Mas isso teoricamente é esperado.

Aroma: The smell has nuts and some cherries in it, but also vinegar and horse blanket. Rather modest.
Appearance: The beer is orangy brown and hazy, has a small pinkish head, no lacing and little curtains
Taste: The taste is fruity and dextrose sweet, but not very sweet, red berries, green tea, a light acidity and mild note of chrushed cherry seeds.
Palate: Very little carbonation, soft and fresh, a medium to light body, very little dryness.
Overall: This one had aged beautifully (9 YO), round and well balanced.
Note: Bottle 330 ml (Vintage 2003) Reviewed 2012-01-21.

"pours a light ruby red in color with a bubbly pink head. smell is of tart cherry and funk...definitely a lambic. although the lambic flavors come out a little more than the cherries, it’s pretty tame overall. not bad, though, but not quite as good as Lindemans. Drier tannic finish. Nice lingering sweet n’ tart aftertaste."

Ruby beer, pink head, the head disappears very quick unfortunately. Aroma of cherries. Taste is a nice balance of cherries and the sourness of a lambic. Lovely!

Bottle. Red pour with a pinkish head. Cherries, almonds, vanilla, syrupy. Fairly sweet and a bit artificial.
