Kriek Boon is a traditional Belgian Lambic fruit-beer. It is brewed according to the traditional Lambic style of spontaneous fermentation. Only fresh cherries (25%) are used. Kriek Boon is slightly sweet, with the surprising natural fragrance of sourcherries and almonds. With only 4% of alcohol it is a perfect summer beer.

Editor’s note: Was 5%.

2012 vintage from Bottle Shop, Brugge. Deep ruby colour, slightly pink head. Aroma is very pungent, strong cherry smell. Taste is nice and balanced. Not too sweet, not overly sour and easy to enjoy. Enjoyable stuff and probably my favourite Kriek.

Piękny głęboki wiśniowy kolor, delikatnie czerwona piana. Silny aromat wiśni. W smaku nuty charakterystyczne dla piw belgijskich no i wiśnie :D.

Trevlig välkyld i sommarvärmen.

Bottle with my burger at Bruxx. Pours Ruby Red with a short lived Pink head. Tart lemony sourness with a very forgiving distribution of cherries creating a nice fruity brew. Goes down smooth you guys.

Sample at the Big Tap In on 05/31/2014. Cloudy ruby color with a medium fluffy pinkish-white head that recedes steadily. Short strings of lacing. Fruity aroma with yeast and spice notes. Light-bodied with flavors of tart fruit, spices and yeast. The finish is fruity with a cherry aftertaste. Above average overall.

Tap@Black Swan, CPH - red pour with bubbly pink head. Aroma and taste is prominent fruity cherry, interesting balance of sour and sweetness but defiantly more sour, tart cherry on the palate.

Aroma: Rich, dark cherry, sour, but slightly sweet, buttered popcorn, light barnyard, Appearance: Hazy pink body. Small light-pink head. Flavour: Medium sourness, medium-light sweetness. tart, cherries, Palate: Medium body. High , creamy carbonation, but still crisp Overall: Very enjoyable! The extra body makes it a great tasting beer. More approachable than a "normal" lambics. 375 ml bottle, poured. Thanks Andre! 17F. Fruit Lambic
