COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kriek Boon is a traditional Belgian Lambic fruit-beer. It is brewed according to the traditional Lambic style of spontaneous fermentation. Only fresh cherries (25%) are used. Kriek Boon is slightly sweet, with the surprising natural fragrance of sourcherries and almonds. With only 4% of alcohol it is a perfect summer beer.

(Bottle 37,5 cl) 4% vol. Vintage 2012. Deep red/cherry, untransparent color. Pink, small, medium fast falling foam. Moderate carbonation, light body, watery. Aroma: Winey, cherry juice, cherry drops. Taste: Soft tart, crisp, cherries, medium long, fruity a bit sour finish.

Beautiful red liquid that has the flavor of sweet/tart cherries and a nice crisp dry finish. A brew that (at least should be) widely appreciated. Well done.

Uma cerveja pra mulher, mas pra homem de bom gosto também, deliciosa, frutada, leve, carbonatação agradável, combina demais com sobremesas, presentear sua esposa com uma dessas é "tiro certo" !

2012. 4%. Matkroken, Landås, Bergen. To people who don’t know much about fruit beer or lambics or "freaky" beers, this one is hardly recognizable. "Is this soda?" I really liked this one. Not to acidic or sharp, which I like. Hints of bitterness, which I ALSO like. Perfect with my dessert (berries, ice cream).

On tap at Centrum Hotel in Beersel, pours a hazy pinkish bright red with a small pink head. Aroma of pure cherries, with a bit of artificial flavour, not mcb sourness or anything else. Flavour brings out loads of cherries, with a touch of artificiality. Quite sweet for a true lambic, with not much sourness. Not very complex but quite drinkable. Decent, but the Mariage Parfait is loads better.

Bottiglia 37.5cl Amaranto, schiuma rosa piuttosto persistente. Troppo dolce, poco acida, amarena discreta... C’è di meglio!

750 corked and caged bottle. On the sweeter side of Lambics, medium bodied, mellow. Some mild distant barnyard, sticky finish. Think Rodenbach, Flanders Red, New Glarus Belgian Red. A great, refreshing beverage. A nice, mild, easy drinking fruit beer. The cherry is pretty pronounced, but it lacks the sour kick of other traditonal Lambics.

Pours a red beer with almost no head. Smells like cherry. Really sweet. I like the taste. A bit sour and medium sweet. A bit like cassis. The palate fits perfectly with this beer. Nice fizzy carbo. Good kriek.

375 ml bottle, at home. Poured into a tulip glass. ABV 4% Very deep ruby red colour on the body, with a pink head, a bit taller than one finger. Good retention, at the end leaves a thin line of foam on the beer’s surface. Aroma of cherries with lactic notes, Sweet taste at first, with lots of cherries, is getting less sweet on the aftertaste with a very light sourness as well. Medium thin body, soft carbonation. A light tart feeling on the palate. NIce tasty lambic.

Bottle, vintage 2013. Deep red with big pink head. Aroma mainly of solvent and cherries. Taste is astringent and acidic, lots of sour cherries and solvent. Finish is fairly sour, of cherries and bitterness (the kind you get from cherry skin)
