Ungstrup (11560), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 15, 2002 A cherry red beer with a beutiful head. It tastes strongly of cherry which it also tastes of together with an OK bitternes and a very little sweetnes. It’s much less dry and bitter than other krieks I’ve tried (but not rated). A very well tasting easily drinable kriek. Papsoe (11030), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 5, 2005 (Bottle 25 cl) "At least 200 grams of cherries per liter", the label promises. Well, that sounds just fine to me. But the problem is, that the cherry-flavour doesn’r really shine through. Pale reddish colour, with a small, bubbly reddish head. No colourings or flavourings which is fine by me too - and also might explain the vague flavours. 190797 omhper (10900), Stockholm, Sweden Jan 31, 2004 Bottled, 2002 vintage, 4.5% abv.
Cloudy clear red. Sweet balsamic cherry aroma. Sweet and clean with lovely cherry flavour, but the body is thin, and the sugar makes it to sweet and deprives it of complexity. yespr (7122), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 9, 2007 Updated: Mar 9, 200837.5 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a red hue and a pink/white head. Aroma is dark estheric cherries, not really sweet nor sour. Clear chaeery flavoured with a creamy mouthfeel going into a dry finish with vague sulphorish note. Very nice.7-4-8-4-16=3.9
ZBF2008: From tap. Pours clear and golden red with a pink head. Aroma is cherry fruity, light caramel malt base. Flavour is sweet cherry, light woody note and with a mild caramel malt base. Caramel takes over most the finish.7-4-7-4-14=3.6 Oakes (6999), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Nov 26, 2000 Fruity, but the sugar is evident.
