COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kriek Boon is a traditional Belgian Lambic fruit-beer. It is brewed according to the traditional Lambic style of spontaneous fermentation. Only fresh cherries (25%) are used. Kriek Boon is slightly sweet, with the surprising natural fragrance of sourcherries and almonds. With only 4% of alcohol it is a perfect summer beer.

Kriek beers are on my list of favourites and although I prefere them kind of sweet, this one is dry and is pretty dem good. The flavor on the moth after each zip is just delighful.

2014 vintage from Tanakaya. Pours a deep ruby pomegranate with a half a finger of pink foam. Cherry drops on the nose but as it warms a little light oak makes its way out. Cherry all over the palate with a touch of blackberry. Fairly sweet, but not syrupy either. Crisp and clean carbonation. Not really tart though. A perfect gateway fruit lambic though.

Bottle: Ruby read color, pink/white head. Aroma and flavor is cherries, sourly-sweet, refreshing. Nice summer brew.

Bottle at St Veronus. Aroma isn't anything special, but the cherry flavour is incredibly appealing. Sweet, sour and fresh. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Liquor Mountain (going for Y598 these days). Gentle but definite cherry nose, cough syrup, and small spice. Thin translucent red, fizzy head. Clear cherry initial flavor, light retronasal funk rising up, hits of fruity tartness and some mild hop bitterness, and a moderately dry finish. Thin-medium body, foamy. Nothing extreme or very special, but pleasant stuff. Maybe a touch too sweet.

4 oz pour on draft at ChurchKey. Clear reddish purple with light pink/purple head. Aromas of grapes, berries, red wine, cherries. Tastes of tart acidic notes, cherries and berries. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Great stuff.

Smakprov beerwall, brygge. Rödrosa vätska. Tydlig doft av körsbär. Syrlig och söt smak av röda bär. Framförallt körsbär. Även hö och lite äpplekart.

On tap in Kortrijk. What a treat to drink this on tap! A perfect summer beer, low alcohol content, fruity, refreshing. Not a beer to drink sequentially, but one is a fine diversion. Wonderful smell, delightful beer variant.

Lots of initial cherry aroma. Some underlying citrua and grapefruit. Red ruby pour. Tangy and sweet finish. Nicely done. Bottle from Total Wine.
