3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. The pour was a murky dark cranberry red with a very small (almost non-existent) light pink fizzy head that was fully diminishing in just a few seconds and had no lacing to speak of.
The aroma was all about the cherries with a mild caramel malt and a sweet yeast and had a hint of candi-sugar and a slight sour odor.
The taste was abundantly sweet and a tad acidic with a very big cherry presence throughout, with the finish having a hint of candi-sugar and a nice mellow tartness towards the end. The flavor hung on for a decent duration with the sweet-tart cherry taste fading ever so slowly.
Mouthfeel was just a tiny bit beyond light in body and somewhat watery in texture with a soft mellow carbonation.
Overall a nice fruity tart Lambic that was extremely drinkable, reminds me a little of a Sour Cherry Jolly Rancher...

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sehr zu Empfehlen!! --> 12.9

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nose is very sweet and cherry, slight marzipan. Taste is very soft and mellow, gentle cherry, cream, marzipan, battenberg the finish is a very slight green apple and oak sourness. It’s nice but just too muted and sweet, like a cordial.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear dark cherry color with a cola-style head that shrinks to the rim, no lace. The taste is not really beer (Okay,I knew that), but is surprising in the delicate balance between tart/sour cherry and the sweetness of fermentation. Sometimes, kriek becomes an alcoholic Big Red Soda,...not so in this case. Excellent example of the style.

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
the most commercial of the Boon lambics lees cherries than in the oude and marriage parfait brands, the beer is a little sweeter than other traditional kriek,s
but has a gentle bitterness that makes drinkable
not a great like other boon beers but perfectly acceptable when others not available

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark red, with small pink head. Green apple, funky, slightly earthy, fresh dough, all with a nice cherry and red berry touch. Taste is quite sweet, in a sugary way, with a sour touch. Mouth is medium, bigger than expected for the low abv. Overall a nice kriek, quite complex, but a bit too sweet.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
375ml bottle poured into flute. Pours a deep opaque red with a small pink head (wow, I can’t say I write that often!). Aroma is of very obvious cherries, slight hay/malt, and a tad of oak. Taste is far from being too tart, in fact it’s really well balanced and the sugar content helps keeping the brew very drinkable. In fact, compared to others, I could easily drink 3-4 of them without getting gastric, ehm, issues. Body is light-medium (that’s to be expected, especially at 4% abv), texture is slick and carbonation is kinda fizzy. Finish is medium in lenght, and rather astringent. Overall this is probably my first "good" kriek! I don’t even remember the names of the ones I’ve tried before, but they weren’t even worth rating...! This would indeed be a perfect summer beer!
