COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kriek Boon is a traditional Belgian Lambic fruit-beer. It is brewed according to the traditional Lambic style of spontaneous fermentation. Only fresh cherries (25%) are used. Kriek Boon is slightly sweet, with the surprising natural fragrance of sourcherries and almonds. With only 4% of alcohol it is a perfect summer beer.

Bottle. The pour was a murky dark cranberry red with a very small (almost non-existent) light pink fizzy head that was fully diminishing in just a few seconds and had no lacing to speak of. The aroma was all about the cherries with a mild caramel malt and a sweet yeast and had a hint of candi-sugar and a slight sour odor. The taste was abundantly sweet and a tad acidic with a very big cherry presence throughout, with the finish having a hint of candi-sugar and a nice mellow tartness towards the end. The flavor hung on for a decent duration with the sweet-tart cherry taste fading ever so slowly. Mouthfeel was just a tiny bit beyond light in body and somewhat watery in texture with a soft mellow carbonation. Overall a nice fruity tart Lambic that was extremely drinkable, reminds me a little of a Sour Cherry Jolly Rancher...

Ruby beer, pink head, the head disappears very quick unfortunately. Aroma of cherries. Taste is a nice balance of cherries and the sourness of a lambic. Lovely!

Garrafa da safra de 2010. Aroma doce e um pouco amendoado, fresco. A cereja aparece no fundo. Bastante suave. Creme breve e púrpura. Bastante inusual, ainda mais para mim que jamais havia tomado este tipo de cerveja. Líquido turvo cor de vinho tinto. Doce, carbonatado e frutado. É um pouco "travada" no final, talvez avinagrada. Mas isso teoricamente é esperado.

Aroma: The smell has nuts and some cherries in it, but also vinegar and horse blanket. Rather modest.
Appearance: The beer is orangy brown and hazy, has a small pinkish head, no lacing and little curtains
Taste: The taste is fruity and dextrose sweet, but not very sweet, red berries, green tea, a light acidity and mild note of chrushed cherry seeds.
Palate: Very little carbonation, soft and fresh, a medium to light body, very little dryness.
Overall: This one had aged beautifully (9 YO), round and well balanced.
Note: Bottle 330 ml (Vintage 2003) Reviewed 2012-01-21.

Pachnie jak delikatne wino, w smaku wiśniowe, nieco gorzkawe prawdopodobnie od pestek. Mocno gazowane, orzeźwiające, ładnie i przyjemnie wiśniowe.

Riklig söt körsbärsdoft. Medel syrlig smak, lätt eftersmak av jäst. Lätt sötma, svagt kolsyrad

Bottle, 37.5cl. Pours a cassis color, subtle foam head. Very nice aromas of sour cherries, gentle sweetness. Taste equals the aromas: short sweetness from the cherries, large sour middle (beautifully executed), cherry sweet aftertaste. Good kriek (considering I am not a fan of sweet beers).

Bottle at home. Ruby red pour with tan head. All cherries, thick luscious aroma. Flavour is cherries, low carbonation. Delicious.
