"Kriekenlambic/k" is the draught product which has gone to no extra bottle-fermentation. It can be either straight, or sweetened for debit. In this last case, it is usually pressurized.

Sample at ZBF 2015, thanks everybody for sharing today’s beers! APPEARANCE: clear red beer, small unstable red head. NOSE: cherries, rather sweet, pleasant. TASTE: cherries, rather sweet, pleasant.

At ZBF 15. Thnx for sharing, everyone ! pours unclear red. Smell is intense, wet cherries. taste is sweet, with a slightly sour back. Intense cherries. Nice for what it is

The ’flat’ cherry lambic from the keg (Frank Boon seemed to prefer metal kegs over wooden barrels for flavour stability, not sure if this is still the case today). No foam as expected in a pure cherry lambic, deep cherry red colour with vaguely purplish hue. ’Malse’ (mellow) lambic with lots of lactic acid, horseblanket, hay, not too much citric acid, woodiness from the cherry stones all drenched in a fresh, acid, very lively cherry aroma and taste. Boon clearly masters this very well - but then, what does he not master when it comes to authentic lambic beers...

(Backlog) at spontaneous fermentation. Purple still pour. Aromas are of dusty, funky, barnyard, and grape tones. Dry almost grape flavors.

Verre de 25 cl, d’un cask, au Centrum Hotel de Beersel. Arômes intenses de cerises cuites. Robe rouge et limpide, aucune effervescence ou mousse. En bouche, ce kriekenlambic se montre particulièrement fruité, montrant peu de caractère de lambic. Acidité plutôt faible, mais finale malgré tout très sèche. Pas des plus complexes, mais tout de même très agréable.

On cask at WoSF 2014. Opaque purple pour. Winey aroma, dark cherries, vanilla. Taste is fruity, dark cherries, sweet, mild acidity. Palate is med bodied, med-sweet, you can feel the heavier Boon lambik in this one. Good.

At WE of Spontaneous Fermentation 2014. Opaque purple/burdungy color with no head and no lacing. Aroma is of cherries, leafy notes, dust and almost no funk. Taste isn’t sour, but there’s cherries, leaf, wood and dusty notes. Medium body. Flat. Slightly dry finish. Good kriekenlambik. Not very tasty because it’s quite simple (no complexity), but the balance is good.

cheery aroma,red, clear, red foame,light sweetness, light body, oily feel, nice light sweet harmonic cherry finish.

Had on cask at the brewery. Pour is dark ruby red with copper edges and a creamy light pink head leaving a huge lace. The nose is overly singular and heavy on fleshy cherries. The taste folllows suit, ripe fleshy cherries, much akin to cherry juice. Body is light and soft, fair amount of carbonation but lingering finish.
