A special keg only "single foeder strong lambic". 100 kegs produced.

Frank Boon writes: Foeder # 10 was originally made for "Brauhaus Nurnberg" in Nurnberg, Germany in +/- 1890. The staves are 90 mm thick and the content is 6800 lit. It survived the destruction of Nurnberg in WW II because it was shipped to France for wineaging in Gigondas. Ten years ago it came to Boon Brewery, it had 4 times Lambic and in 2007 it was used for a strong Lambic to age for 3 years. One american lady that tasted it said it was "Boon to be Wild". Maybe a good name to use.

Long night at Brasserie 420 during the summer of 2011. Who says you don’t shoot pappy...multiple times. Review from notes. Pour is transparent golden amber with tight off white head. The nose has a light fruit and cheese rind with vinegar and light acetic acid in back. Taste is earthy with notes of cheese and golden fruits. Light vinegar and stronger acetic acid in back. Body is a touch heavy and creamy with low carbonation.

12-OCT-2012, draft @Mikkeller, Mortens fødselsdag. Hazy orange with lasting almost white head. Tart sour aroma with brett. Sour taste with orange peel, lemon, brett, and a little bitterness. Some body and soft carbonationen. This is really a nice sour. Smooth and friendly:-)

Tap at Mikkeller Bar. Cloudy orange with no head. Aroma is brett, horseblanket, wood, wet soil, vinegar, gooseberries, citric notes. Flavor is brett, tart, funk, lemon peel, oaky wood. Vineous. Reminds me a bit of a rough white Jura wine.

@ Antwaerps Bierhuyske

Head: none
Colour: gold / apple juicy
Smell: lemony, bit skunky , slight metalic and bit of paintstriper
Taste: starts very acidic like vinegar and then blends over in a slightly thin irony taste with some bitterness in the end , actually not bad !

cask / hand-pump @ ‘t Antwaerps Bierhuiske // according to the owner 2 yr old & +/- 9 % ABV base beer for Marriage Parfait Geueze // given that there is no confirmation from the brewer that other higher alcohol old lambic’s save for this one has been sold by Boon // it was probably this & fits more here than with the 6 % version // clear golden with a very small white head // smell is lots of soap, tat lemon & barnyard funk // tastes like tart lemon, hay, soap, barnyard funk, slightly acid lemon, decent amount of brett // dry, flat & ridiculously drinkable, seriously // not the best ever but certainly interesting

08/04/2012 Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Intenso colore ambrato chiaro, lievemente torbido, buona schiuma persistente.
