Color seemed a bit watery for the style. Flavor was nice indeed - like a cocktail of grapefruit and strawberry. I do prefer the sharpness lent by carbonation, but this was very good still. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 19, 2009 Bottle. Golden-brown body. Nice off-white head, hazy and well carbonated. Aroma is dry and fruity, mainly citrus fruits. Flavor is dry-bitter grape which quickly disappears into a dry and slightly sour finish. An okay gueuze. pnista (1008), Bloomington, Indiana, USA

Light clean golden yellow with a thin even white head. Tart biting lacto-pedio nose. A bit salty. Straight sour. Hose blanket/straw. Light body, rather carbonated. Biting sharp tart. Straw astringent. A bit stronger on the malt for the style. Fruity. Lingering tannins. Really nice even if there were some grapefruity plastic flavors. goozen (1102), Leiden, Netherlands

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Dec 30, 2008 Served with spicy tomato soup with coriantes and scallops. Very sparkling when poured. Nice golden straw-yellow with a huge-bobble white head that stays. This one is much stronger than regular gueuzes but you cant tell the alchol by the nose. There is old apples, sourness like grapefruits, some vinegar and fruit. The taste is classic sour with grapetones - the palate is surprisingly rather thin and not that oily. The finish is bitter. gam (1128), brisbane, Australia
