375 ml. bottle, 2011 vintage, poured in to a Flute. Hazy, golden colour with an amber tint. Big, fluffy white head. Tart aroma with barnyard, lemon, grapefruit, bretts, rather dry oak - woody notes. Even a bit toffee-like sweetness - must be from the high alcohol content for a gueuze. Taste is sour. Medium to full body with a lively carbonation and a slick texture. Finishes lasting dry and acidic with tart apples, peaches, yeasts and a distinct oak note. Highly drinkable Gueuze - but with a odd toffee sweetness - I prefer my Gueuzes with a little less alcohol.

Delt 0,375 l flaske. Deilg syre. Medium fylde.

Une très belle gueuze puissant, typée, longue et complexe avec une superbe finale acidulée et amère.

Cybercat (3983) - Georgia, USA - JUN 15, 2015
Pours slightly hazy amber with a thick but effervescent eggshell head. Crisp, malty aroma has a strong overtone of sour apple and pear. Dry flavor is strong and fairly tart, but not make-your-face-do-aerobics tart, just enough to tickle the palate. Notes of pear, malt and even butterscotch provide backup notes. Texture has firm body, if not much fizz. "Geuze" down well on a hot, sticky day.

Bottle, 2010 vintage, shared by Cuso at Bratislava Slovak-Austrian RB Tasting, thanks!
Bright orange, clear body, with a big, frothy, off-white head.
Pretty tart aroma, with barrel, barnyard, funk, sour apples, grass, earth.
Taste is sour, tart, dry, with pears, sour apples, barnyard, wood, barrel, some candy, some berries.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes sour, dry, fruity, with lots of pears again, wood, sweet barrel.

Very nice. The nose a bit too tart for my taste, but the taste is very enjoyable, with lovely pear notes sticking out for me. Tasty Gueuze, but not among my favourites.
