First gaseous extract rather soft. Then when poured strong lambic aroma. First impression in the mouth is that it’s going to be acid. But it quickly turns into a soft geuze aftertaste totally harmless to the newcomer to the lambic world.

375 ml bottle @ Tuulensuu
White golden hazy beer with white head. Aroma and flavor have fresh citric fruitiness, white grapes and barnyardish sourness. Pakate is thicker than medium with strong carbonation. FInish has strong bitterness with grapefruit. Crisp and refreshing, almost like a pilsener type of feeling.

2010 bottle. Light orange body with foamy white head, bubbles. Nice funky and sour aroma. Taste is sour, citrus, some bitterness in the aftertaste, bread, a warming heat on the palate, sparkling and refreshing. a touch of fruity sweetness. A really nice gueuze.

Slightly cloudy orange in colour. Very musty lemon nose, no head. Fresh tasting, lemony leaves a slightly bitter taste in the mouth. A little smokey, very interesting beer! Nice in a small quantity.

Bottle from Takatsuki AEON Mall liquor shop. 2009 vintage. Acidic, funky-dunky nose. Has lovely overripe fruit, Brett, berries, and manure. Amber/gold color, and a thin smooth head, constantly replenishing itself. Waxy apples, grapes, sour lemon, malt, and a slight aged note (a kind of ashy oxidation, but not bad tasting). Also, some metallic note. Thin body, but a bit thick for a lambic, quuite astringent and gently sharp on the tongue. Geez... five years old, and it’s probably just an adolescent in character development

Flaske, 375 ml. Årgang 2010. Gylden med et overraskende fyldigt hvidt skum. Funky kælderskakts-sex i næsen.

(2010 bottle @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, Oct 31 2014) Pours a hazy orange-gold with a large bubbly white head and no lace. Aroma has lots of bright citrus, funky musty notes, wet vegetation, only slightly earthy, maybe a hint sweet. On the palate, bright citrus sourness, tart juicy stone fruit and a noticeable sweet malt core, but decent helping of funky barnyard, lightly salty cheese notes, bit of wood towards the finish. Lactic type of sour character is mostly offset by sweetness of malt, slight drying alcohol presence in finish, lingering herbal notes. Medium bodied with crisp effervescent carb. A bit more malty than average but a fairly straightforward, reasonably sour gueuze. Perhaps not as exciting as I had hoped for, but an end of night beer so I may need to revisit it.
