Bottle from MyBrewerytap.com. Vintage 2007. Put away the steel covering the cork. Not only spontan fermented, but also spontaneously cork ejection and collision with my roof, made me jump nearly to the roof standing in the kitchen. Still, pours clear golden with a thin layer of white bubbles. Aroma is fruity, almost explosive fruits with a light yeast and sour vinegar. Taste is strong acidic with fresh apples and sour grapes. Ends quite sour.

Bottle 375ml vintage 2003 @ home
Pours hazy orange/amber with a white head. Aroma has notes of mild tart and funk, oak, some fruitiness and seems a little oxidized. Taste is light to medium sweet and medium sour with a smooth dry sour finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. Small head. Haze light Golden Brown. Low basement aromas. Well balanced dry-sweet. Faint sourness. Expected more flavours from this brew.

375 ml bottle
Wrapping up Christmas with a bang I opened this wonderful Belgian lambic. With that wonderful sourness that only comes from a finely tuned beer made by the best this made me want to get another bottle. It will certainly age long enough in the cellar.

Aroma / Appearance - Sparkling carbonated body shines like champagne except with a dull bronze tint. Thin sheets of lacing creep down the sides. Sharp vinegar is the main driver as expected. Put together it smells a bit like Swiss cheese melted over rye toast.

Flavor / Palate - Apple cider, lemon crisp, and vinegar eats at the palate. Starting slowly this lambic doesn’t blast one with tart intensity until after a few sips. Yeast, sweat socks, and champagne layer on the back of the throat. I’m glad I had some people to share it with. Despite everything drinking more than about 200ml would be fairly difficult.

Vintage 2003, 8% ABV. 37,5 cl. bottle bought at Mahlers Vinhandel Aarhus Denmark. Orangy brown in color. very lively beer, the aroma is sour with a little sweet notes and some yeast. Something like fermented apples and balsamic notes. Taste is sour, with lots of grapefruit and citrus zest, some bitterness, but also a slight sweetness.

37,5 cl bottle, brewyear 2005, orange coloured with small fastly disappearing. Smell: granny smith, yeasty, refreshing, fruity. Taste: balanced sourness, granny smith, some bitter notes in the aftertaste. Nice one but not the best geuze ever. The alcohol is extremely well hidden!

Bottle for rating 2000! Pours a fairly clear tangerine color with a fizzy head. Aromas of funky barnyard, lemon, a bit of honey and nectarine. Flavor starts out with a decent mix of lemon and nectarine sweet and sour and then transitions to a somewhat off-putting metallic and medicinal finish. I was really hoping this would be MUCH better, but as is, well... it’s a milestone.

Pours hazy orange with a white dissipating head. Nose is floral, lemons, citr4us hops almost, slightly funky and loads of fruity character. lactic. Flavor is flowery, brett funk lactic sourness, and a fair amount of acetic acid to boot. Long lasting finish.Dry and refreshing. Not bad but a little to acetic for my tastes.
