30/06/2011 Birra+ (Vintage 2005). Degustazione da Birra+. Ambrata chiara, lievemente torbida, buona schiuma biancastra, abbastanza persistente. Aroma intenso acidulo, con note agrumate di limone e di pane. In bocca è morbida, acida ma non eccessiva, complessa, con note agrumate di limone. Corpo medio, buona carbonazione. Geuze decisamente interessante, invecchiata magnificamente.

Just a plain good Geuze. Bitter, sour as a Geuze should be. Compared to it’s competitors (Girardin, Hanssens, ...) not the best, but a good compromise for a slightly cheaper beer

May ’16. A 0.375 l bottle, 2012 vintage. It poured a hazy orange body with big head atop. Very nice crisp aroma of sour apple touched with lemon. Flavor was quite sour, too, but very balanced, so it was not overwhelming or offensive. Wood aging gave its share in it, also its fruitiness, apple, peach, lemon, some berries; quite complex. Medium in body with a long, sour and tart apple finish. Reminded me of Basque ciders, just more mature and rounded. A rich, nice fruity Lambic - calming, slowly enjoyed brew.
