2008 bottle at North Bar, Leeds. Pours a hazy orange, finger of white head. Aroma is incredible - grapefruit, lemon, sherbet, backyard funk, some dust. Classic gueuze. Taste is great, too - grapefruit, lime, sherbet, a bit of apricot, almost bready. Obviously sour, of course, but not nearly as puckering as a Cantillon. Medium bodied, CO2 prickle, slightly dry, yet long, flavourful finish. Oh joy.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - bright orange with a nice lacy head. Nose - apples, grapes, general geuze stuff going on. Taste - tangy orange, orange shred, light malt backdrop. Palate - close to medium bodied with a long dry tangy texture which follows through into the finish. A long lean finish, that just goes on and on. Overall - a lovely example of the style.

Corpo medio, birra decisamente secca e beverina.

Bottle, 375mL. Home. A brown orange opaque beer with many small bubbles ; medium white head with a medium retention. Smoky aroma, acid, wood, fruit, alcohol. Medium sweet and light to medium sour ; light acid ; dry ; refreshing. Medium body and texture, nearly silky, average to good carbonation, sour finish, light warming background. Overall, a great beer : skilled ; geuze with a body and a background stronger than usual.

PapaVillum (607) - Valby, DENMARK - MAY 3, 2015
37,5 cl, flaske, 8,0 % ABV, årgang 2010, BB: 12/09/2033, købt i Den Belgiske Ølbutik i Vanløse, 3. maj 2015.

2007 bottle poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a clear copper color with a white head of foam. The bottle opened with a nice pop. The aroma is floral, musky, earthy, fruity sweet. The taste is earthy sour with citrus and dry floral notes. Pretty damn delicious beer. Spritzy carbonation. Lighter on the palate and very refreshing.

Bottle 37,5cl @ Sint Sebastiaans - parc Josaphat (Schaerbeek). Probably the best gueuze I have had so far.
