Bottle at the Funky Buddha Lounge in Boca Raton. Split it with my friend Gail. Pours a hazy light color with a small head. Some lacing. Aroma of sour apples and white grapes. The taste was apple, pear, white grapes with a sour tartness. Not overly tart, but kind of a mix of tart and slight sweetness. Well carbonated. Light and refreshing. 2009 vintage.

Bottle from MOMH, 2011 sticker. Pours clear and bright orange, rocky white head. Tart aroma, layers of yeastiness and funk, some cheese, socks, dung, lemon zest. High carbonation, punchy in the mouth. Flavour is very tart, candided grapefruit, some caramel, oak, blue cheese, lemon. Dry finish. Alcohol doesn’t present itself in the flavour, despite being higher than many other gueuzes.

Drank the 2011 edition yesterday. Nice colour, very clear. Smells sour, taste is as it should be. Will try my next one in a year.

Amber semitransparent color with good foam head in the right glass. The smell is most temptingly tempting (sour). The taste is indeed sour with a heavier sugary aftertaste. The carbonation is marvelous. Great beer, with some slight problems (alcohol content, sugar content).

Vintage 2010. Orange color with lots of bubbles and big white head. Funk, apples, citrus, wood, sweat, yes, very characterful. Dry and a perfect amount of sourness. A bit foamy carbonation in the mouth. Delicious. The ABV is very noticeable (even gives an illusion of malt sugar in the end) but it fits the character. A heavy Gueuze, but one to be appreciated!
