On draught at De Cam Volkscafe. Pours a light golden colour with a lasting, thick white head. A lovely tart aroma of lemon, horse blanket and wet cardboard. Similar flavours and quite tart with a dry finish. Moderate carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel. Lovely. Also had the US version at the 21st Weekend of Spontaneous Fermentation. Lovely and sharp.

2007. Opaque brown beer with a fizzy head, Leathery woody lemon and pepper on the nose with some cherries and lychees. The taste is the same but with more fruitiness. The balance is beautiful with a delicious woodiness to it. Like well-laid Spanish wine.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Boliv (1045) - New York, USA - APR 16, 2012
750mL corked and caged bottle, 2004 vintage, best before 05.16.2028. Pours lively gold, slightly hazy but bright orange, with a fluffy 2-finger light beige head. Aromas of tart, acidic funk, horse, barnyard, and cheese. Tart raspberry seeds are also noticeable. The flavor is funky all-around. Horse blanket, old cheese rind, and mildly bitter wet hay. Overripe berry and cherry stones are present in the finish, with sour cherry acidity throughout. High carbonation and lively, with medium body; tart, with a bone dry finish; mouthwatering, and very easy-drinking for the ABV. This is really nice. Funky, tart, and flavorful, and it’s drinking prime. Every sip is growing on me. [994]
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 j12601 (4415) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - APR 12, 2012
Bottle of the 2004, paired up with a Gordita from Taco Bell for the Rate Beer Scavenger Hunt season 2. Pours a fairly clear golden tinged amber with a large dense white head. Big sweet funk on the nose, sweet candied funk somehow. Medium bodied, gently funky, brett and more sweet-tart notes, never cloying or artificial, just a touch of sweetness that never really seems out of place, just unexpected. Nice and funky, more sweet tart candies on the finish, lingering funk and warm hints of acid. Nice.
