Bottle 37.5cl 2004 at tre små rum. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Stable, whool and root cellar in the aroma, not to sour to the taste. Medium body, dry bitter finish. You can’t find 8% ABV in this beer. A nice one!

The cage on the cork certainly isn’t just for show. I removed it, then stepped away to retrieve a couple glasses and the bottle uncorked itself. Naturally quite fizzy. Tart and dry with the expected Belgian funk. Lemon and a little vinegar.

Vintage 2008. Pale yellow color with champagne head. Aroma of eucalyptus, flowers, mint, citrus, basement aromas, yeast, white wine. Taste is light sour, just a bit sweet and bitter, complex flavors. Light body, slick texture, soft carbonation. My first Geuze and its quite complex and nice

2009 vintage. Great dryness that boon is know for. Flavor on the nose flows nicely into taste and palate. Slightly sour up front, but hey... Paired with a homemade sausage egg and cheese sandwich (@ resto NYC) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle 2004 - A nice pop of the cork here; pour is fairly clear medium golden with a modest one finger white head in this glass; clear carbonation is present here, while the retention is on the average side. The nose is prevalent must, lemon grasses, citrus, and an oak presence. The initial flavor profile is tart lemon and grapefruit, a touch of vinegar here, moving to more musty flavors with the oaken elements present. It’s lacking something here, perhaps the age, providing a funkiness without much heft, and then finishes with more tartness, as well as a hint of booze.

2008. Thanks Tommy!! Pours cloudy dull golden orange, ample head dies down to half a finger’s width and remains a foamy blanket across the liquid. Aroma is pretty nice, very fruity with tart apples, grapes, and grapefruit, white vinegar, light oak mustiness, horse blanket and lemony edge. Taste leans more towards sour white fruit, not as sweet, with bitter funkiness, rounded with citrus notes. Palate is smooth, dry, well carbonated, not overly acidic. Wonderful geuze.

Pours light orange with lively bubbly action. Nice big billowy head that lasts. Aroma of must, basement funk, cider vinegar. Funk remains on the tongue. Not tart or sweet. Very dry. Really pulls all the moisture out of my mouth. Enjoyable but perhaps to dry.

Flaska @ Akkurat. Gyllene bärnstensfärgad vätska. Tydliga aromer av jäst och jord. Syrlig smak. Lång eftersmak.
