I agree with the Commercial Description: ’’’’sparking and refreshing¨. If I wasn´t sparked up enough, I had the pleasure to try this with Duff in some pub under London Bridge on southside the name of which is not so important right now. Tart and the bit of the blue cheeze that´s been sitting in the olive juice on the snack tray and all the Jatz are gone so I´ve gone and used my unwashed hands straight to the mouth despite the rags I may or may not be on right now. Beautiful geuze, beautiful company.

Vintage 2011: Aroma is sour and lemon juicy. Green apples and grapes with some dry wood notes. Taste is sour, unripe berries and young grapes. Green apples comes back again. Funky cider notes and slight earthy notes. Complex stuff, and really good. I expected more to be honest, but it’s still a really good gueuze.

37,5 cl bottle. Vintage 2012, served in flute glass. Poured slightly hazy amber with a two finger off white head that dissipated quickly. Lively carbonation in glass. Aroma: Granny Smith Apples, funk, barnyard, horse blanket, goat, blue cheese, cider, hay, earth, fruity, sweaty. Taste: Delicious!!! Sour & tart, granny smith apples, cider, fruity sweetness, vinous almost champagne qualities, cherries, barnyard, blue cheese, earth, funk. Very complex. Medium sour, not overwhelming. Good balance between sour and fruity sweet. Medium body with a very nice long dry and sour finish with a hint of fruitiness in the background. A dilicious and very refreshing Geuze! Absolutely love this nectar! Oh...and leave those last few drops with yeast sediment in the bottle, it will not do the flavor of the Geuze any good...
