Thanks to Amy and Jessica for this one! Pours a light honey amber with a mid-sized white head. Tart citrus and yeasty barnyard funk on the nose - delicious, and very similar to one of my favorites - the Girardin Gueuze. The flavor is really interesting - the same tart citrus is augmented by a slightly more bitter note, the funk is still there, but it’s like the brew hits your palate and then disappears. Vanishes. This would be a fantastic palate cleanser, but as the main attraction, it’s a bit like a huge multi-stage firecracker that sparkles and fizzes, but then the huge rockets are all duds. It’s an interesting sensation. Very tasty, but I think I’ll snag a Girardin any day.

Bottle corked and caged: Poured a light toffee amber color with a huge off white head. Aroma is sour wheat and metal. Taste is a bitter sour grain, wheat, and metal finish.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 mile (1221) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 12, 2011
Bottle. Light golden, hazy, average and short head. Moderate, malty and dryish aroma, fruity and sour, green apples. Body is medium, malty and dryish flavor, sourish, bit flat – no fruitiness. Finish is short, malty and dryish, alcohol. Nice aroma, but aroma and flavor are not in balance.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange amber with billowy white head. Falls away super quickly but a great looking beer. Aromas are all you would expect from a geuze. Hay barn yard funk, lemony sourness and Oak. Great stuff. Flavours are very sour as expected and remind me of grapefruit juice. Medium mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Brilliant beer,

Comprata in offerta speciale in un grande magazzino ad Arlon, questo lambic non mi ha entusiasmato particolarmente, però è sempre un buon bere...

Great typical example of the style. Perfect for some one to try they’re first Oude Geuze. Pours a golden color with a dense white head. Musty/tart aroma with hints of dough. Earthy, tart, crisp lemon grass flavors. Crisp slightly astringent palate. Very drinkable.
