4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 oteyj (1753) - Washington DC, USA - JAN 10, 2011
Typical geuze pour with a frothy white head. Yummy oak barrel, hay, and cellar funk give way to must and acidity. Sparkling pillowy palate with a dry hay-like finish. What to say that hasn’t already on this iconic geuze...

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 mansquito (1607) - washington, Washington DC, USA - JAN 4, 2011
New Beer Distributors, NY 12oz ($6): Pours a hazy brownish orange color with a white head. Aroma is winy, acidic, tart, fruity, and some other adjectives that mean roughly the same thing. Lots of yeast, the natural kind. The taste is really sour and has that sour bite that you wish more moderately beers would occasionally have (alas they do not, if you want the sour you got to pay). It is the kind of taste that might make itself worth it because you can remind your mouth how it felt hours later. Really dry and tart. Tasty stuff. I could drink it all day. Really different nuances of the flavor come up through the duration of the drink, but it would be hard for me describe exactly how these nuances are manifested.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 4theloveofbeer (16) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - DEC 24, 2010
This is a very complex beer to say the least. This is my 3rd or 4th Lambic and I am still getting to grips with the complexities here. Kicking off with a mouth pouting sour taste which mellows as you continue. We are tasting this at the same time as the Geuze Boon Mariage Parfait for a bit of comparrison. This is the weaker of the 2
Floral, citrus aromas. Clear golden appearance with white foam. heavily sour with a medium body with a medium sour aftertaste
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Leighton (3595) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 21, 2010
Bottle shared with Lyoli at Belgo. Pours a hazy orange gold with a strong, billowing white head. Nice and sour aroma, some funkiness and fruits. Flavor is very lightly sweet and biting, with strong citric acidity. Medium bodied with strong, massaging and palate-cleansing carbonation. Sharp, sour finish that clips the sides of the tongue. Very nice.

Pours a pale straw color. Moderate fizzy white head. Aroma is grass, funk and granny smith apples. Tart cider vinegar flavor, with a lingering mustiness in the finish. Nice crisp, clean mouthfeel.
