COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Geuze, a mixture of old and young Lambic. The young Lambic is added to cause a refermentation in the bottle making for a delightfully sparkling and dry beer that has been likened, in all seriousness, to Champagne.

Pop of the cork spilled a bit but not bad. Bitter, some citrus, definately wild. Pretty good. I like it but not sure how much I can drink of it.

Boon Oude Geuze: syrlig, gröna äpplen, torr, lite peppar. Småtrevlig öl kan man nog säga att de va.

Quite bitter, lots of funk, amazing amounts of wood. Bit of citrus in there as well. A kind of harsh bitter after taste that doesn’t change the drinkability for the better. Still good beer though.

Pours gold with lots of bubbles. Aroma is funky, apple cider and grass. Taste is tart with barnyard funk on the finish. Shared with Chalsk and as he noted the funk def lingers a little long. However this is very crisp and easy to drink. It was a nice palate cleanser after the darker and heavier beers prior to dinner.

[3366-20100902] Bottle. Herbal mild bandaid aroma. Slightly hazy, light orange body with a long-lasting foamy off-white head. Sour yeast flavour has a lingering sour aftertaste. Medium body is quite sour. Lovely sour beer.

The Geuze. Bottle shared with Leafs93 at Cloverleaf. Pours a pale golden color with a thick white foam head. Has an aroma of funk and grass. Tart taste with funk lingering on the finish. A bit much in my opinion. I prefer those Gueze’s that get in and get out quick and clean. Would prefer a cleaner finish.

Countbeer (1686) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - NOV 16, 2010
Bottle: 2007/2008: Big airy white head, disappears slowly. Very light cloudy yellow. Smell is a mix of sour, yeast, grain, barnyard, yellow fruit, lemon. Taste is fresh, light sour, more citric with a nice balanced mix of yellow fruit, lime, lemon, grapefruit, orange, yeast, light hints of wood.
