Very sparkling and sour. It has the citrusy taste of a grapefruit with little of the sweetness. It will make your face pucker. Unlike most any beer you’ve ever had.

NOW WITH 100% SPONTANEOUS FERMENTATION!!!!! From a 375ml * 12.7 fl oz corked and caged bottle into a snifter. Pours with a massive fizzy head with dissipated within 5 mins leaving no lacing. Aroma of peach, lemon, funk and grass. Pretty biting. Mouthfeel is very dry and fizzy although after leaving it out a few minutes the carbonation subsides a little. Taste is puckery. Nice funky vinegery taste with raspberries, peach, lime and other fruit. A fine lambic that I hope to drink again.

31st December 2005 Early amateur rating warning! Not quite as sharp as some other Geuzes I’ve had so not bad at all - pretty drinkable.

UPDATED: SEP 30, 2010 Tasted from bottle at Hopleaf (while enjoying mussels of course). Pours cloudy orange with a massive frothy white head that lasts forever. The nose is sour and funky, but a bit more fruity than most straight gueuzes I have had, displaying some peach aroma. There is also a bit more bread aroma than I have had on a gueuze. The flavor starts off with the citrus and funky sour, but shows more gooseberry and sour peach than any other gueuze I have had. The funky brett flavor really comes through on the back of the palate. The body is medium with nearly sparkling carbonation and a long finish dominated by brett funk.

12oz bottle pours golden/orange with bubbly off white head. Aroma is citrus, yeast, grass, with a slight musky funk. Taste similar to aroma with nice tartness, lively carbonation with a dry finish. Very enjoyable.

375 ml bottle @ home. 2006-2007 version.
Very aggressive bottle as the cork almost exploded. Pours a clear light orange colour with a large foamy head. Sparkling too. Aroma of acidic apples, orange peel, grapefruit and lemon. The taste is medium tart with lemon and grapefruit. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and hard carbonation. Easy-to-drink gueuze.

Pours a hazy straw yellow with lively carbonation and a fluffy white head. Nose is of wild grasses, soil, sea spray, perfumed yeast, lemon and a subtle custard-like vanilla note. Tart but no too sour in the mouth. Quite citric with touches of white flowers and beach sand. Slight spice profile. Mouth feel is thin and refreshing. Ends with a developing honey taste. Very enjoyable and a good beginner’s geuze.

Bottle 37cl from Besançon beer shop. A yellow clear beer with small head. Smell is typically on gueuze near Cantillon one. Aroma is on wheat malt and fruit like apple, astringency at the finish, sour but less than some others, not too dry also. Finish is long with a nice fruit bouquet on agrume side.
