COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Geuze, a mixture of old and young Lambic. The young Lambic is added to cause a refermentation in the bottle making for a delightfully sparkling and dry beer that has been likened, in all seriousness, to Champagne.

Little hazy golden body. First big bubbly head, but to soon disapears to nothing. Aroma is sour, "barnyardish". Flavor is also little sour and bitter. Little dry palate.

Bottle. Cloudy golden with a creamy white head. The aroma is acidic citrus, fruit and grape fruit. Tart acidic and fruity flavour. Notes of grape fruit, caramel, barnyard and has a very tart light metallic finish.

UPDATED: JAN 13, 2012 Unknown vintage opened June 2010.

A: Orange-golden colored body with a thin but thick off-white head. Subsides to a nice skim and color. Sporadic clumping of lace throughout consumption.

S: Musty oak, acidic lemon, and a nice funky yeast. Even keeled without one component dominating.

T: Like the nose this is well balanced between difference components. Acidic lemon, musty oak barrel, barnyard funk, and some grain. Perhaps the least sour and tart of the widely available gueuzes from the big producers.

M: Medium bodied. Even carbonation. Not sparkling, but sufficiently lively. Linger must, but not much in the way of acidity.

O: A nice effort from Frank Boon and the gang. If you see this at a good price or are looking to explore different gueuzes this is a staple to try.
