COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Geuze, a mixture of old and young Lambic. The young Lambic is added to cause a refermentation in the bottle making for a delightfully sparkling and dry beer that has been likened, in all seriousness, to Champagne.

375 mL bottle, cork flew off when cage was just slightly undone. Pours hazy yellowish with off white head, aroma has nice notes of sour apple, pear, nice lemon, some nice cheese, barnyard, horseblanket, touch of wine notes in there as well. Taste is not quite as nice, slight tartness, with lemon, apple, lots of dry oak, horseblanket and funk notes, finishing really nice and dry.

Hazy yellow color. Very carbonated. Not quite a funk-laden as other geuzes but still quite nice. Tart but not too puckery. Serving: bottle

750ml caged + corked bottle. 23-04-2030. A - Typical gueze. A cloudy copper body and a fluffy white head that stuck around for a bit. S - Sour apples and some lemon rind. There is a good bit of earthiness and grass. Light funk. T - Extremely disappointing. There is some sour fruit, earthiness, and just a bit of brett funk, but it all seems very watered down and light. The flavors are there, they just tend to vanish instantly. The mouth feel is spritzy and quick. O - One of the weakest guezes I’ve tried. Looked about right, and the aromas were all there; I just found the taste and mouth feel to be severely lacking. I know lambic can have batch variations, but I remember drinking a 2007 vintage 375ml bottle a few months ago and really enjoying it.

Hazy golden with lots of bubbles and medium off white head. Aroma lemon, grass, floral. Medium body with lots of carbonation no alcohol. Flavor is sweet and sour, mixture of lemon and tart apples, finish dry but not overly so. Quite interesting.

2004/2005, bottle at home. Unclear golden color, big, fuzzy white head. Aroma is green, sour apples and some wood. Flavor is sour (not extreme at all) with apple and some bitterness. Some way mild and easy drinking. Long, applefruity aftertaste/mouthfeel. Dry. High carbonation. Enjoyable lambic!

0,375l bottle from EtreGourmet. This Boon pours a fizzing light cloudy pale orange body with a massive fluffy fading white head. Aroma is light tart, sour green apples, not quite right green plums, wood, a little bit of that barn/horse aroma, brett and some not-right strawberries. Aggressive carbonation, it has a oily mouthfeel and its medium-bodied. Tastes first really fizzing tart. Then it just turns everything up a notch to extreme fizzing and super tart! Almost made my eyes running. You can also sense some nice notes of apples, some not so nice notes of cardboard and hints of wet dog. Ends everlasting tart and bone, and then I mean BOONe dry..
