3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle my local major Supermarket decided to clear out at 25% off....bonus. I guess there aren’t enough sour beer drinkers in this part of town. Date on label 06.08.2027.
Lovely golden color, acidic aroma. Effervescent and tart, leading into sour. Very tasty and one of the easier drinking geuzes I’ve tried. The tartness dulls a bit as my mouth gets used to it, but retains enough pucker to keep it enjoyable.
Wishing I would have picked up quite a few more at clear-out prices.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
A pleasant acidic aroma is a forplay for a darker and more alcoholic taste, than many other gueze sport. Something brutal is lurking underneath the taste, without bursting entirely to the surface. I had the 2005-06 edition.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, Dram Shop, Sheffield. 2005-06. Hazy golden colour with a very lively dissipating off white head. Enticingly complex aroma ; oaky and sour, da funk, and prickly citrus notes, revealed itself further with each sniff. Certainly a bubbly affair. Flavour a treat; funky sour, fruity n’ fresssshhhhhhh; becoming gobi dry. I would probably rather drink one of these instead of a glass of champagne. Straight outta the top drawer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Heavily carbonated - bounced the cork off the cieling after opening. Light body and very fizzy. Sizable fluffy white head above a very hazy gold beer. Aroma is lots of lemons and hay, some yeast, but little funk. Taste is the same - did I mention lots of lemons? Tart, sour, and refreshing. Good beer, but for $10, it’s not worth the price of admission.
