Bottle from Beltramo’s in Menlo Park, CA. Aroma is wheat, breads (surprisingly not too funky). Taste is mild funky bits, rubber, tart. A mild sour that lives closer to a traditional "beer".

Bottle. Smell worried me as a little bit clean and wheaty and it presents a bit clear and pale. Prefer my gueuze to look and smell a bit funkier. No problem though - lovely champagne character with an astringent tart sourness and a sweet apple balance. This isn’t a funky farm-yard mindmelter but more like a sophisticated and refined smash on the side of a cruise ship job. Only quibble is that the fizz could be less harsh and more moussey to match the style.

Bottle thanks to RasmusOtt. Vintage 11/12. Pours a light muddy orange with a medium white head. Aromas of mold, oak, sweet citrus, tart green apples, forest floor. Taste is moldy, funky, citrussy, forrest floor, vinegar, mushrooms, green apples, lemon zest.

Bottle thanks to RasmusOtt, vintage 2011/2012. Pours a hazy golden wth a huge, long lasting white head. Aroma has huuge funk, mold, slight blue cheese, acidic vinous notes, forrest, mushrooms, earth, oak, brett, medium dry. Taste is sour, funky dry, but still with some vinous sweetness. Long oily after taste with a slightly dry finish. Medium high carbonation.

0.75l bottle, 2012/2013 brewing season. pours an almost clear pale amber with a big steady white head and some lacing. aroma of brett, funk, sour apples, yeast. flavour of lime, citrus zest, dry cider, wood. sour, fruity, slightly bitter. alcohol is very well hidden.

hay, barnyard, cheese, leather, alcohol, aciditiy citruses- oranges and lemon. when you get used the barnyard aromas it is quite nice.
pale, golden, slightly hazy, minimal head, white foam, good retention.
lightly sour, umami, light sweetness. light body, thin feel, lively, long finish, very tart. the palate does not follow the aroma very nicely- too tart, puckering.
overall, nice but needs some work. enjoyed the citrus and acidic aromas the most
