COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Geuze, a mixture of old and young Lambic. The young Lambic is added to cause a refermentation in the bottle making for a delightfully sparkling and dry beer that has been likened, in all seriousness, to Champagne.

Looks like lemonade with a huge, frothy, off-white head. The aroma is of lemon, grapefruit and yeast. Tart and tangy, well-balanced flavor. Light-bodied with a fizzy mouthfeel. Liquid Joy! Very nice gueuze!

Bottled 375ml cork & caged from Hopduvel Warehouse, Ghent. Clouded orange with white head. If you had some of these flavours in any other beer, it would go back, but in Geuze Lambic, it just works. Sparkling, citric and tart, lemon rind with sour apples, its just crazy but very drinkable.

UPDATED: JUN 12, 2003 deep bright orange colour, big creamy head, complex aroma (apple, ginger, cinnamon, rhubarb with light grassy notes), strong acidity, very long dry fruity and acid finish - complex and refreshing

(37.5cl bottle, saison 2000-2001) Hazy, golden colour with a mid-sized cream-coloured foamy head. Dusty, moderately acidic aroma with a light malty sweetness and accents of ripe citrus fruits and apples. Moderately sour and tart flavour, medium to light bodied with a soft carbonation. Good lambic character with moderately fruity and light woody notes; dry, slightly tart and woody finish. Rounded and rather mild traditional Gueuze (24.08.08).

Bottle at The Comet in Cincy. Poured an amber color with a average fizzy head. Yeasty champagne aroma. Light body with lively carbonation. Light complex bitter flavor with a short finish. Very intersting brew.

A Mes rate: Both the aroma and flavour are buttery and slightly metalic with maybe some vanilla cake. Very slight funk and barnyard. Iron type flavour coming through instantly in the finish followed by a pleasant hint of strawberry. Too much carbonation for me. It’s all bubbles in the palate. Not the best geuze I have tried but fair. The Mariage Parfait is infinitely better. It settles quite a lot in the bottle. The last last bit is very cloudy but smoother and not as tart.

1995-96. Darker gold than01-02, no head. A light acidic woody aroma, with horseblanket, light cherries, a bit astringent. In mouth, a harsh oxidized gueuze, with still a nice acifdity but deteriorated by time. The cork was shurnken, we note. 7-3-7-3-13

2001-2002. A light golden gueuze with a wilder, more citric aroma. In mouth, ultra tart with pleasant ground cherry signature, lactic acids. A classic. 8-3-7-3-15. Shared with the Outaouais Crew, at Old Stock Tasting No. IV, Nov.11 2006.

2002 vintage. Gorgeous golden colour topped by a huge frothy head. Great aroma, earthy and tart with a strong funky and musty character. Very lovely soft tartness. Fresh and fruity. Lightly perfumey aroma. A very approachable gueuze. Soft acidity on the back.
