3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
38cl. bottle (375ml.). The Oude Geuze Boon is my defintion of a "gueuze" beer. Orange or golden, light brown or even peachy color, with a small head. The foam fades away, making place for a beautiful scent of oranges, lemon. A perfect dry and sour taste. An easy drinker.

Pours golden with a foamy white head. Aroma is lemonade and lemon curd. Very very sharp lemon juice flavour. Not for the faint hearted.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, 25cL. Home. A sparkling orange beer with amber hues ; storm of bubbles ; big off-white foamy head ; good retention. Aroma of smoke, barnyard, wood acid apple, ashes. Medium dry sour, light sweet ; somewhat refreshing. Light to medium body, thin texture, good carbonation, medium dry sour finish. Overall, a good geuze, complex earthy pleasant aroma, drinkable (sourness is not too strong!).

This is probably one of the sourest beers I ever tried to drink. I poured it away and it cleaned the pipes of my house.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Wow it smells terrible. Colour is Orange. Taste is really sour almost lemon with some lambic fruity tastes. Definitely interesting but the sour is too much defined in the taste.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
375ml green corked and caged bottle, poured into a Tulip glass. Appearance is cloudy amber with a medium sized airy white head, that dissipated quickly leaving no lacing. Aroma of green apples, table grapes, orange peels and barnyard. Flavours of green apples, table grapes, lemon zest, oak wood notes and a hint of cherries. Taste is light sweet, light bitter and heavy sour. Palate is medium bodied, soft texture and lively carbonation. Boon Oude Geuze is refreshingly sour and dry, a great lambic beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
From 95-96 from neck label - Thanks so much to hannont for bringing this to the Portland bottle share - Pours brownish with an off-white head. The aroma has sour figs, toasted malt, ripe peaches and light sourness. It has a medium smooth body with lots of soft carbonation. The flavor starts with caramel, sourness, saltiness and is rich for an oude geuze. The finis has lots of lush caramel and a weird sourness that really works here. Nice and different.

Very interesting taste, sour with wheaty and woody taste. Finish is with a long bitter lingering down the the throat. Refreshing. Great stuff. My bottel best before 13.08.2034, batch L42251. 2012 2013 season.
