slightly hazy dark golden with a white head that settles into a thin film. aroma...eh...dry grassy aroma with a little lemon and apple. its good i just dont get that intense horse blanket feeling that you get from most lambics...it almost reminds me of a pilsner. tart sour apple with a hint of lemon...nice sweet backbone with light bitter dry grassy notes. dry very dry tart sour apple and lemon finish with light dry bitter grassy notes...hay? light to medium body sparkling carbonation. at first i didn’t like this beer at all because it is so different from the other geuzes i have had (hanssens cantillon) but after drinking the bottle it is growing on me. i will have to try this one again.

Jul 21, 2008 355 ml bottle, best before 25/04/2027, does not have ’oude’ on the label- forceful champagne like carbonation behind the cork, has a very full and funky aroma, lemony and acidic, half-rotted hay, a touch of wet leather. Taste is grapefruit pith, citric acid, oak cask,a little remaining body exits leaving behind nothing but dry dry dry. I love gueuze.

Jul 15, 2008 Bottle purchased at Beverages for Less. Lots of bubbles. Aromas of sour limes, grapefruit. Pretty good.

Aroma: Just like a cider. Lemony, hint of wheat.
Taste: Sour. A bit like cider. Lemony. Yuck!

Jun 24, 2008 A hazy golden colored beer, with a huge off white head. It disappears very soon. The aroma is malty sour, with tones of oak in the back. Also some citrus. The taste is sour with sweet tones. It has the flavor of oak. The after taste is some dry. The sparkeling stays for a very long time. The combination of tastes like bitter, a little fruity are staying for a while.
