COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Oude Geuze Boon is one of the finest examples of the traditional 100% spontaneous fermentation Lambic style. To moderate the sourness, Boon Brewery only brews Lambic in the 7 cold months, from early October until April, according to the traditional "turbid mash" system. This Lambic beer is aged for 1, 2 or 3 years in oak casks. The blend, a mild average 18 months old Lambic (unsweetened, unfiltered, unpasteurised) is refermented in the bottle and can be stored up to 20 years. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name. Awards at the World Beer Championships: 2008 Gold, 2010 Silver, 2012 Gold Medal.

Bottle my local major Supermarket decided to clear out at 25% off....bonus. I guess there aren’t enough sour beer drinkers in this part of town. Date on label 06.08.2027. Lovely golden color, acidic aroma. Effervescent and tart, leading into sour. Very tasty and one of the easier drinking geuzes I’ve tried. The tartness dulls a bit as my mouth gets used to it, but retains enough pucker to keep it enjoyable. Wishing I would have picked up quite a few more at clear-out prices. Serving type: bottle

Hazy straw coloured with a massive white head. Taste is mainly acidic, sour... cider apple... nice, smooth mouthfeel, crisp and very refreshing. Very nice.

Kolor pomara?czowo bursztynowy, m?tny, ze spor?, ?rednio p?cherzykow? trwa?o?? jest znikoma, po kilkunastu sekundach po pianie pozostaje zaledwie pier?cie? i delikatny ko?uch. Aromat kwa?ny, octowy, s? jab?ka, pomara?cze, brzoskwinie i winogrona.Tlem s? zdecydowane nuty wiejskie, obora, piwnica, ziemia, kiszonka. Smak: jest kwa?ny a nawet cierpki, uczucie to pozostaje do?? d?ugo w ustach powoduj?c lekkie "sciaganie" policzków. S? owoce, jest octowa kwa?no?? i akcenty winne. Równie? i "wie?" jest tu wa?nym ?yku. Na finiczu pojawia sie lekka pestkowa goryczka. Wysycenie wysokie, odpowiednie. Uwagi: Oude Geuze z browaru Boon ma faktur? g?st? a nawet nieco oleist?, jest bardzo orze?wiaj?ce i niesamowicie pijalne.

Just the right degree of sourness. Love the slightly hazy straw colour. Good head. Refreshing. Beautiful beer which I could (and do!) drink over and over.

Bottle. Pours light hazy orange. Aroma of sour apples, barnyard and bread. Moderately sour with nice gentle sour berry fruitiness. Not as aggressively sour as I was expecting. Very drinkable. Lovely stuff.

Bottle from bierlinie in Berlin. Smells like sour fruit. Taste starts with sour notes. Body is somehow sweet and sour at once. Finish is more of the same. Too sour for me. Otherwise fine.

25cl bottle BB 29/10/2035 Sharp sour aroma with earthy sulfur note. Hazy straw color with ice cream head and plenty of carbonation. Upfront sour taste with an astringent medicinal palate and a tart finish.
