Commercial Description:
Geuze, a mixture of old and young Lambic. The young Lambic is added to cause a refermentation in the bottle making for a delightfully sparkling and dry beer that has been likened, in all seriousness, to Champagne.

Pours hazy yellow/golden colour with a decent head. Fizzy, dry mouthfeel. Taste is dry, crisp and sour, has notes of citrus fruits, apples, vinegar and grapefruits. Has some slight sweetness. Finish is lemony bitter. Interesting beer.

Bottled 37.5cl. Appearance: It pours a beautiful hazy copper beer with a tall extremely nicely remaining creamy off white head. Fantastic lacework. Beautiful carbonation. A lot of tiny bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass. Aroma: Lemon peel, rhubarb, white grapes and raspberry accompanied by a decent amount of vinegar and apples. Flavor and palate: Nice sourness. Champagne-like. Light bodied. Hints of apples showing up. Overall impression: Decent. Probably really great accompanying seafood.

2005-6 bottle. Deep blonde, cloudy, with tons of bubbles. Sour, fragrant, citrus aroma, with grass, barnyard. Sour, funky flavor. Lots of lemon, very dry. Light, bubbly body. Not thye most interesting of the style, but still very accessible and good stuff.

Bottle dated 2000-2001, who knows how long this was hiding in my stash... Initially pours a clear golden color with a small white head, lots of carbonation. Definitely clouds with each extra pour. Very funky nose, barnyard-hay mixture, a hint of lemon. Light, spritzy body, vinegar, bright citrus. Dry finish, not as sour as some, but still a great representation of the style.

Forceful -pop- to the cork, thick white head was held up easily with the multitude of bubbles. Bit of lemon and oak on the nose, clear on the edges, sparkling yellow in the middle. The tart character is more lemon rind than lemon juice and most of the flavor resides on the roof of my mouth, way in the back.

Pours a hazy gold body with a quickly diminishing head. Smells of citrus peel, lime, some faint hops. The taste is a sour blend of many citus fruits and their peels, hints of sweet and then bitter come and go on every sip. Very fizzy on the palate.
