heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA Nov 30, 2006 This poured with a rich ruby red hue and a large pink head. The aroma is strong lemons and some vinegar. There is also a hint of the flowers, Sweet Williams. The taste is nice and tart with a dry finish. There is some vinegar sourness and a little bit of cherries in the background. This is a little salty. The body is slick and lightly carbonated. A nicely made fruit lambic that is tart and refreshing. ogivlado (3036), Zagreb, Croatia Nov 6, 2006 Bottled(375ml). –Shared with Doggythedog at the Hopdevil in Zagreb
Not so pleasant kriek, a way too sour. Nice ruby coloured, medium pale pink coloured, strong acidic nose. Very sour cherry aroma with a weak sweetness in the finish 2003vintage, best before 31.03.2026?!
saxo (3511), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Nov 1, 2006 Bottle. Medium head with medium duration. Color is dark ruby. Aroma is cherry. Taste is bittersweet cherry. FrankJohansen (3329), Sabro, Denmark Oct 31, 2006 Bottle. Dark reddish colour with a nice creamy mostly lasting head. Aroma and taste of bitter cherries. Too bitter for my taste. Doggythedog (1541), Split, Croatia Oct 31, 2006 Bottle shared with ozujsko Poured a beautiful dark ruby colour with a pinkish head. The noce was sourish, some cherries and some rice crispies... and that carried into the taste... light cherries, rice crispies, a bit funky, more acidic than sweet. Ok. Not all that impresset but a good fruit lambic. marcus (1821), Sacramento, California, USA Oct 30, 2006 This cherry-red lambic poured with a huge pink head, most of which dissipated rather quickly. There is a strong acidic aroma. The very mellow cherry flavor indicates use of the local lambeek cherries in the brew. The final product presents a slightly sweet cherry flavor, followed by a more tart finish. This is an excellent example of the kriek lambic style. bhensonb (4182), Woodland, California, USA Oct 28, 2006 Aroma of sour cherries and yeast. Hazy red (really) color with a lavender/purplish head. Starts with sour, followed by a lactic taste, cherry flavor is always there, but ... The finish is rather unsweet. Lightly puckers the mouth. As time goes on the fruit tends to come to the fore. A lambiek for those of us who aren’t yet adjusted to the ultimate reality. TURDFERGUSON (1594), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA Oct 10, 2006 Bottle. Another nice kriek. A little sweeter than I like it, but still has a good amount of funk and puckerness to it. Great on a hot summer day. Very refreshing.
