Bottle best before 30.03.2026. Pours a glowing bright clear, but too dark to see-thru, ruby red with a lovely pink foamy rocky head that fades into a fine froth. Aroma is full of funky stinky barnyard and tart cherries, chlorine, dusty, this lambic really some of that musty earthy stink in there. Flavor is fairly dry, musty tart sweet cherries, almost a little more fruity than just that of cherries, a bit citric, hint of formaldehyde, hint of vinegar, mouth puckeringly sour/tart, med-strong acidity, some pie-crust in the finish, as well as a bit woody. It’s so sour that it is quite hard to pick up on the more subtle details. Medium/light bodied , very thin feeling, lighter than water it seems, amazingly soft fizzy carbonation that only attacks as it passes ones lips, extremely clean mouthful. A really nice fruit lambic that is way more lambic than fruit compared to the regular Boon Kriek.

Bottle@Carlsens Kvarter, Odense. 2000 vintage. Cloudy ruby coloured with a medium sized pink head. Aromas of marzipan, green apples, slight balsamic, oak and sour berries. Flavour is musty, woody, acidic, dry and thin.

Pours a clear, deep, ruby-red color with a foamy, light pink head that settles to a small, lasting blanket. Minimal, sudsy spotting mostly rejoins the pool below. The nose shows all kinds of funky lambic goodness, notes of tart cherry and sour lemon providing ample acidity, while musty barnyard wood and earthy, bretty dust complete the wild profile. Flavors are equally well structured, bracing sourness stemming from the cherry and acidic citrus, drying farmhouse dust contributing to the funky lambic experience. Old oak is a prominent factor. Moderate to light in body, the lively carbonation intensifies the dry, acidic, downright puckering mouthfeel. The finish is prickly, bone dry, and refreshing. Damn this stuff is good. Criminally underrated, in my opinion.

Bottle. It pours an hazy red colour with a pink head. Aroma is sour cherries with weak notes of vinegar, marzipan and apples. Flavour is very sour and slightly bitter cherries with fermented notes. It has a nice smooth aftertaste.

Draft. This poured with a rich ruby red hue and a large pink head. The aroma is strong lemons and some vinegar. There is also a hint of the flowers, Sweet Williams. The taste is nice and tart with a dry finish. There is some vinegar sourness and a little bit of cherries in the background. This is a little salty. The body is slick and lightly carbonated. A nicely made fruit lambic that is tart and refreshing.

375ml bottle with a best by date of 22.12.2026 so maybe this was bottled in 06? It initially had a huge pink head on top of a dark pink beer but then settled into some wisps of pink bubbles. It smells authentic, must, lambic, and cherries. An intense cherry flavor like cherry pie and a tart sourness at the end, good stuff. This is a nice kriek. Serving type: bottle

(37,5 cl corked bottle) Ruby-red kriek. A little sunshine in the glass it makes it sparkle nice and bright. The taste is a little sour, but fits the beer very nicely.

Nice aroma, with both sour touches as well as blushes of sweetness. Taste nice and sour. Taste is first sour, then taste like cherrycake.
