COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Oude Kriek Boon is one of the finest examples of the 100% spontaneous fermentation fruit-Lambic style. 400 g of wild cherries per litre are fermented together with a blend of young and old Boon Lambic that has been aged in oak casks. After clarification, the Oude kriek is bottled and refermented. It is unsweetened, unfiltered, unpasteurised and has no artificial flavourings, preservatives or colourings added. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name. Pour slowly in a flute glass without disturbing the yeast sediment in the bottle. Cheers !

It has a nice, red color and the aromas are nice with cherries and some woody hints. Taste is sour cherries and overall unpleasant. One-dimensional, sour and boring. This one is really not for me.

On tap. Colore rosso rubino con corta schiuma compatta. Olfatto vinoso appena acetico e di muschio. Carbonazione flat. Aroma finemente citrico, tarty, vinoso leggermente acetico, di fragola, ciliegia muschio, fiori e nota dolce balsamica come di tenue camomilla. Gusto decisamente secco, dolce velato d’acido, molto ben ristretto. Corpo leggero, trama succosa e vinosa secca. Ottima.

Samled at Beertemple. Dark ruby pour, clear, with a fine pinkish head. Smells like macerated cherries and lambic funk. The taste is light sour and sweet, with strong cherry notes. Light carbnation, light body and a sweet and sour fruity aftertaste.

Dark ruby color. HIgher carbonation. Aromas of cherries and funky farmhouse. Dryish beer, much more than expected. Cherry flavor is not a kick in the face, but a nice backbone to the lambic base. Lots of fruitiness in the start. Spritzy, sour in a refreshing way. Medium long finish with notes of grapefruit and alcohol. Very tasty. An easy lambic to cut your teeth on.

It is the best lambic I had drunk. It has a very rich flavor and its’s not too sour. In my opinion the taste of this beer is like a taste of a great red wine.

Pours bloody cherries with a sour cherry nose. It is very light with mild sour taste. Very nice, well balanced, easy drinking.
