bottle thanks to awiseman01, pours dark purple with a medium white head that remains for a while. Nose is outstanding, earthy wood and tart cherries and rhubarb mix leaving a tart but sweet smelling aroma. Flavor is tart and dry through and through, some cherry skin, tart lemon, thin acidic notes and boatloads of barnyard funk. Enjoyable.

Way better than the normal kriek. Sour with cherry aroma and taste, not artificial like the kriek. Little bit of funk going on. Very drinkable, great with cheese.

Hand tapped on plastic bottle 2 weeks prior to tasting. Pours a hazy deep red colour with a small pale head. Aroma is fruity; mostly cherry bordering cherry sauce. A bit spicy and a bit of wet dog notes as well. Flavour is sour with cherry sauce notes. Dry, sour finish. A decent beer. 25.09.10.

Bottled 375ml. Pinkish head. Great inviting nose. Deeply delicious taste. A top notch kriek. A lot better than the regular kriek from Boon.

Bella kriek, al naso molto presente la ciliegia, in bocca l’acidità fuga ogni sospetto, è proprio "à l’ancienne".

The aroma of this kriek, bought on tap, was alarming - the word fart comes to mind. The taste wasn’t as bad, but it’s hard to enjoy that, when you’re focusing on ignoring the smell. I’m sorry to say that this is another misfire from lambic guru Boon.
