Ungstrup (11560), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 8, 2003 [Vintage 1998, 5 years old] Sour wild fermented aroma. The color is a clear deep red and it has a bubbly pink fast disappearing head. All the sediment in mine had settled on the cork (must have been stored upside down) - I think that's why it was clear. The flavor is very sour - like a lemon - combined with a weak sweetness and a strong flavor of wild fermentation. It has hints of metal and cherries. It finishes on a dry woody oak note combined with some sourness, that lingers for a long time. A great kriek. Papsoe (11030), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 7, 2007 (Bottle 37,5 cl) Courtesy of Grovlam. Vintage 2004. Pours a very pretty, hazy reddish with a small, pinkish head. Very sour aroma where the cherries are barely felt. Medium body with very dry notes of cherry but not really overly sour. There’s a vague fusty edge. Nice one. 290607 omhper (10900), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 26, 2004 Bottled. Deep brownish red, rich pink head. Very lemony and fairly acidic, yet rich on sweet cherries. The mouthfeel is short. Pretty good, but lacks the depth of the top krieks. yespr (7122), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 5, 2007 From 37.5 cL bottle. Pours rosa with a light purple head. Aroma is sour cherries, very lovely and inviting and slight spiced. Flavour is very dry cherry sour. Immensely great brew. joergen (6797), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 22, 2005 2000-edition.
