Nice red color and a creamy head. The aroma has notes of cherries, yeast and sourness. The flavour is sourish with hints of vinegar, yeast and nice, sour cherries, that develops into notes of red currant.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Christian (8548) - Odense, DENMARK - APR 14, 2004
Cloudy, dark pink with lots of bubbles and a lively head, white with a hint of pink.
Aroma of cherry with some earth, wood and lemon to it.
Flavour is initially overwhelming acidy, followed by a more rounded taste of cherry, wood and vanilla. Long pleasant (wood/sour) aftertaste.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 bierkoning (8099) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - MAY 7, 2004
2000. Deep red color, pinkish lasting head. Aroma and flavor have cherry (off course) but certainly not a overwhelming sticky cherry sweetness, almonds and pepper. Only a hint of sweetness, problably from the fruit only. Somewhat dusty. Some oaky and almondy bitterness. Complex quality kriek, maybe a bit more refined as Cantillon.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 bhensonb (7577) - Woodland, California, USA - OCT 28, 2006
Aroma of sour cherries and yeast. Hazy red (really) color with a lavender/purplish head. Starts with sour, followed by a lactic taste, cherry flavor is always there, but ... The finish is rather unsweet. Lightly puckers the mouth. As time goes on the fruit tends to come to the fore. A lambiek for those of us who aren’t yet adjusted to the ultimate reality.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 madsberg (7529) - Søborg, DENMARK - JUN 10, 2004
Bottled 2000: Hazy red coloured. Pink dense lasting head. Very intriguing and kind of shouting sniff me, drink me. Has a discrete sweetish sourness in the aroma with a fair deal of cherries. Nice. Flavour is very dry, earthy, tarty and has some fruitsweetness to it. The dominant flavour though is sourness. Gives the beer a fantastic freshness. Has a pleasant grape aftertaste and has a sharp and acidic mouthfeel. Really nice one.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 hopscotch (7526) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 9, 2007
Bottle... This beer rocks!... Murky, brownish-red ale with a mid-sized, frothy, pink-tinted head. Excellent retention. Acidic, funky nose with bushels of sweet & sour cherries, horse blanket and mild barnyard. Sour flavor with distinguished cherries and lots of fruity, pungent goodness. Medium-bodied with an astingent mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Mid-length, sour, lightly bitter finish. Kudos to boboski for providing this one!
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Bov (7354) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - FEB 23, 2006
dark reddish colour with a rocky stable beige head; aroma of hay and cheese, crisp cherryish notes are coming through while the beer gets warmer; initially smooth but soon comes a solid acidity; medium-bodied, long acidic, dry and cheese-ish finish - a beautiful kriek and a perfect beer to celebrate the victory of Russia over Canada !
