[ZBF 2004] The aroma lovely; sour as it should be with notes of metal. The color is an unclear orange-brown and it has no head. The flavor is sour in the beginning, but the sourness fades fast to more normal notes of grapefruit and the less pronounced notes of the wild fermentation. A somewhat boring lambic.

Draught (ZBF06): Sweaty, funky old socks. Funky cheese, mild earthy hop notes. Slightly citric but mainly leathery and horsey.

On tap NOTF ’07. Listed as Cask 17B. Didn’t notice this was offered till the last 5 minutes of the fest. Pours a still, uncarbonated, deep golden with no head, obviously. Taste is bland and slightly metalic. Some funk in there but mainly just a whole lot of oak. I didnt really care for this one too much, but maybe I’d enjoy more in a more relaxed setting.

On tap @ Weekend of Spontaneous Fermentation 07. Kinda ciderish with notes of citrus, wood and a somewhat dry finish.

Golden, slightly hazy colour. Aroma of butter, eggs, sulfur, wood, somewhat tart. Somewhat sweet, light tart flavour. Finish light tart, wood, light butter. This one wasn’t the best example of lambiek I’ve tried during the evening.
(Draught @ De Nacht van de Grote Dorst, Eizeringen. 3 year old)

thome50 (261) - Boringville aka Irvine, California, USA - SEP 10, 2011
2003 vintage on tap at Beachwood Sour Fest 2011. Pours a muddled and hazy orange color with no head. Aroma is slightly funky with very little else to speak of. Taste is very bland with some mild sourness, some sweetness that last through the entire taste and then abruptly ends with you being left wanting more. Overall this is a big disappointment. A very bland lambic that has very little going for it.

henrikb (1258) - Aarhus, DENMARK - JUN 5, 2006
Unclear golden body; Medium sized pleasant a bit watery nose, apple and grapefruit; Very creamy oily textured body that is quite sweet; Into harsh bitter unpleasant finish with the alcohol very apparent.

Draught @ WSF. Amber with no head. Vinegar and barnyard in the aroma. Watery with slightly vinous white grape notes. Not great.

draft @ belgian beer weekend 06, brussels. My notes just say "lambik boon", but I assume this is the right one. Again, notes are brief. Cloudy orange. Smells a little like a wet dog. Tastes of citrus and funk. Just ok.

Fra fat på Brouwerij F. Boon i Lembeek under Tour de Geuze 2011. Eplefarget. 0 skum. Behagelig syrlig aroma. Syrlig fruktsmak - og syrlig ettersmak. Gjennomført.
