Golden pour, thin white head. Aroma is malty, some slight fruit/floral notes. Some decent bitterness, a little fruitiness and brown sugar.

Had on tap at the brewery. A very nice pilsner. Nice hop aromas and lovely bitter finish.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 hawthorne00 (1858) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - NOV 5, 2010
Bottle. Gold with a huge white head. High bead - a bit over the top really. Aroma is very fruity - pears, apricots, lemon pudding - with some honey, earth and butterscotch. The sweet things show up in the taste too, but the malt side is not all that sweet. Drying finish hasn’t enough bitterness to my taste.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Maris (752) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - JUL 15, 2010
From a 330ml bottle on 15/7/2010. There are herbs, grass and bread and a touch of honey in the aroma. More herbal notes are evident when it hits the mouth, with a long, firm hoppy finish setting off the honeyed sweetness at the start. This is a pretty good pilsener.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mkel07 (2340) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - APR 16, 2010
330ml bottle. Looks pretty robust for a pilsensr witha deep snowy head atop a golden amber body with a little haze in the glass. Light grain infused aroma leads in to a crisp clean taste and a nice mouthfeel and lingering aftertaste.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Davros (1484) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JAN 28, 2010
Pours golden with a small, white, quickly fading head.
Nose shows some grassy noble hops, with subtle caramel and bready malt in the background.
Flavours are pretty much the same: subtle noble hops with bready and grainy malt.
Too highly carbonated.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 riversideAK (5413) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - AUG 6, 2009
Bottle brought back from Western Australia by a friend of mine. Thanks! Aroma is light with some bread and biscuits. A good dose of grass, pepper, earth, and even some citrus notes from the hops too. Light hazy gold with a thin head. The flavor also had notes of bread and biscuits, was dry with a larger hop presence than most pils. Grass, pepper, earth, citrus. Dry finish. Definitely had lively carbonation, perhaps a bit too lively, but I liked their take and interesting, if unconventional hop notes for the style.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20 MBison (548) - Southern Highlands, AUSTRALIA - OCT 5, 2008
Bottle (330ml). Poured clear golden orange with an averaged sized, frothy, white head which lasted well. Aroma was dominated by sweet creamy butterscotch with biscuity malts, caramel and tangerines. Flavor was a light bitterness with light rustic notes, tangerines, butterscotch, odd/bad nutty notes and some dirt in the finish. Light bodied with lively carbonation, a watery texture, dry/some-what creamy mouthfeel and a short finish. Very odd brew, certainly didn’t work for me, may have been a bad bottle though. Not the best way to celebrate my 400th rating.
