In the glass it has an almost black color with an off white head. The aroma has some coffee with mild notes of cocoa and spice. The flavor is dominated by coffee almost espresso like. The peppers kick in on the finish then grow to a spicy smooth finish.

A spicy and fun Stout. Not as viscous as most. Enjoyable for the crispness the chipotle adds. Long finish, but nose is subdued. Foam is airy without the typical thick head I expect from a creamy stout. Color is coke-brown with slight red tinge. Chipotle sits in the back of the mouth for an extended period. Would recommend!

22 ounce. Super over-carbonated. Overflowing over-carbonated even after sitting for a long time in fridge. Metallic taste. Coffee. Chili. Canít get past the metal. Not that good.

Bottle, shared with my wife. Dark brown with a scant light brown head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, and light capsicum. Nice flavours of roast, coffee, bitter cocoa, with a light chili smokiness and a hint of heat deep in the throat. Not a bold beer, but balanced and tasty.

Bomber bottle and served in Ratebeer Tulip: Pours deep brown with a small beige head and okay lace. The aroma has notes of raost, toast, cashews, coffee, dried chocolate, grassy hops and green pepper. The taste is mostly tepid sweet and roasted malts with freezed dried coffee and very little spicy notes. Some nice smoke does appear towards the finish. The spice does get more distinct as it warms but still is far too weak for my liking. The mouth feel is equally flacid, just sort of there and chalky. Sure after half the bottle the Chipotle character finally shows... but really given the label, name and such and such this beer should be a big ballsy kick your teeth in brew... not a brew for the masses. DISAPPOINTING!

Roasted coffee and burnt caramel on the aroma. Solid black color with a thick tan foam. Flavors of caramel, coffee and cocoa with a subtle spice on the finish. Overall, a nice, deep roasted malty flavor on this one. Dark and delicious. B+ rating.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours dark, dark brow not quite black with tons of carbonation producing an extra-large tan head. Aroma is sweet, roasted, with a hint of the chilis but no real coffee aroma. Initial taste is a good, solid warming stout with just a hint of peppery tingle, but the chipotle adds a bit of smoke more than spice. Not much coffee at first, but that definitely comes through as the beer warms. Great compliment to a good, charred steak.

This was actually pretty bland. Light fruit notes, stale cofffee, the chipotle is almost non-existent. Watery.

Pours black, with a thin tan head. Nose is roasty malt, chocolate and coffee. Nice and smooth a little smokiness. Nice stout, the flavors work well together.
