Tasted on tap at the 4th Annual Stone Sour Fest on 7/18/2010. This sour beer pours a medium cheery color from the tap. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is cherry, fruity, oaky and tart. A medium bodied sour ale. Malts are fruity, cherry and tart. The hops are herbal. A touch of funk, oak and wood complement the cherry. Good carbonation. Smooth taste. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly tart.

On draft at Stone Oakquinox 2010. Clear red pour. Sweet juicy cherries, light malt, and sourness. Pretty simple beer, but lots of cherry flavor. I believe this should be a fruit beer.

A: The pour is a muddy brownish red color with a small off-white head.
S: The nose offers up some very nice sweet and sour cherry aromas. There is a slight acidity to the smell, but not vinegary at all.
T: I was expecting the flavors to mimic the nose for the most part. I was pleasantly surprised that in addition to the sweet and sour cherries, there was some mild oak, tartness, and even some sweetness.
M: The body is medium to full with a moderate to low level of carbonation.
D: The alcohol is quite well hidden despite being 11%. I really enjoyed the balance of sweet and tartness this beer offered, I would welcome any future samples of this one.
