Cask from Daily Pint. Dark dark brown with a generous tan head that faded quickly and left little lace. Strong coffee and dark chocolate aromas, with hints of dark fruit, malt and alcohol - almost whisky-like. Sweet chocolates rule the flavor profile, supported by generous amounts of roasted coffee, a touch of caramel malts and enough bittering hops to give it some balance. Alcohol is warming but not as strong as the aroma would suggest. Medium body, low carbonation, and a slightly watery mouthfeel.

Tap. Pours with a thick brown head over a dark brown body. Reminds me of one of my first and only horrible homebrews. Aroma of oatmeal, grain, cocoa, coffee, roast and slightly metallic. Taste is roast, dry and chalky. Metallic. Way too much dark roast as a percentage of the malt bill. Syrupy and acrid.
